Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Package benefits

The one document I can never clearly understand is the severance benefits.

How does help insurance work when displaced, so you still pay your typical premiums as normal?

Apologies if this is a sense question but I read it and it’s not clear to me. Thanks.

Your current costs (employee portion) continue as long as you are on severance (2 weeks up to 1 year, depending on your length of service).

Then, you can use COBRA (paying your employee portion + employer's portion for up to 18 months).

After that, you are on your own.

You're not wrong. 102% of what the company pays is no bargain.

Your premiums for health insurance are the same as you are employed as long as you are on severance

Don't tell OP about COBRA prices, he's about to get a broken heart without help insurance as it is.
