So I am going to be very uncomfortable when people are not wearing masks around me. I will be wearing my mask all the time, but what is that going to do when COVID is in the air with all those masks off, in an office not even open air?!!
I lost both parents to COVID so don’t tell me it is just a cold! Now what?!!
I really don’t know what to do, thinking about all the many times they lifted mask mandates and it did nothing but make things worse!

Because laptops are more mobile, easier to move, and easier to take back and forth from home to work or into business meeting rooms. Even that is changing -once BYO comes along, you won't be able to save anything locally and it will have only an empty version of Windows and the tool you'll need to connect to your session. No internet connection? No work gets done.

If you use an n95 or hn95 mask you are better protected against other's infections than with a plain cloth mask.
Those are not much fun to wear, but if you're worried about other people breathing covid on you (a real thing) then that's your second best choice.
Your best choice is get another job, work from home if possible, or at least somewhere with smarter management.

It’s no secret current management are a bunch of entitled figures that live in Ivory towers and lack vision. Too old to innovate, too scared to be pioneers.
So why have corporations been moving to the use of laptops instead of desktops if they didn’t want people to work remotely? This has been going on the last several years. Why are they trying to get everyone back in the office? Especially with the climate change concerns.

You know, If I can just silence all the noise and arguments, I’d just say this whole RTO real truth is just WF management lives in a bubble, along with some other Stone era Wall-Street giants, they are basically trying to set the clocks back to pre-2020. The truth is everything has changed since 2020, even people changed emotionally and mentally not just our life styles and how business is done. Nothing is really the same, not even the air we breathe, every family incurred a loss or a heartbreak, everyone has learned something or 2. What these old folks need to understand is that they cannot just ignore everything around them that has changed and will continue to change and this change is forever, for the entire humanity not just their neighborhoods. There are things and events that happened before and changed the shape of life forever, just like WW2, 9/11, San Francisco earthquake. You cannot set back the clock to pre these times and continue to live normally and pretend they never happened! It is just not doable. Many companies like RIM, NOKIA thought are unbeatable and good as it can get, ignoring apple and android, now where is Nokia or Blackberry?
The management in Wall-street and everywhere else need to embrace the changes and stop ignoring the elephant in the room. COVID has changed our lives forever in a way that cannot be undone!

They chose that job and the nature of the work is such that they have to be in person because Wells continues to have brick and mortar branches that are staffed with live human beings.
For those of us who NEVER EVER EVER interact with clients, shuffle papers all day, do reconciliations on financial accounts, and the like there is ABSOLUTELY ZERO NEED for us to be in the office. ZERO, NONE, ZILCH. It’s a waste of time, energy, resources, and brain cells thinking that we need to go in for some fake dream of more collaboration and innovation. It’s just bu-----t, so STOP and get a better argument!
Wow, I don’t know what would happen if the same group of people here are put together in one place! Have some respect for each other, maybe masks don’t work for some, but it may make few feel comfortable, what’s the problem with that?! Even if it is illusion, why the debate and teasing. You want to wear a mask or even PPE full suit, do it as long as it makes you feel good mentally, others should stop the intimidation. On the other hand, if you feel comfortable going all out and not see the elephant in the room, fine, do it even if na--d! No one will mock you for it. However I don’t think that this Dem/Rep Trump/Biden Vax/noVax mask/nomask behavior should carry into an office set up. I highly believe best thing is to have a clear segregation plan or the RTO in itself as a stupid idea will be the least problem WF has to manage!

OMG, so much hysteria. What about all those people that work at Wells Fargo, who did not get a chance to work from home - branch offices, call centers, etc. Do you see them crying on this Board?? They, just like you, had a chance to come to the office or to find a different job that allows you to work remotely. All of you, have the same chance before March 14th, as well. Get a grip on yourself and stop being a bunch of cry-babies. If you feel you need a better protection, get a booster and wear two N-95 to protect yourselves. STOP worrying about other people and what they will or will not do. If we do not try to get back to normalcy at some point, we will all go crazy - I just did by reading these posts.

And now kids under 5 are delayed again for vaccines. Grateful they are being cautious but da*n, this is going to be ugly with kids going to daycare in the next 4 weeks.
I can’t believe WF is okay with this. They said themselves months and months ago “if your child is not yet eligible for a vaccine, wear a mask and keep distance from them and others who are not vaccinated”

I read in the news that Macron the French President refused to take covid nasal swap before meeting with Putin, he was worried that they will use it to keep an image of his DNA. They ended up meeting on a very long table where each one of them took an opposite end. Everyone and all the media made fun of the situation. Macron didn’t give a darn, he did what he thought was right to protect himself. Moral of the story, do what you need to be safe and comfortable, disregard any bullying or intimidation around you! No one will donate you a new pair of lungs if yours fail.
Yeah company plans RTO in March 2022 just as most people's Covid shots and Covid booster shots effectiveness is wearing off. It will be like no one is really vaccinated against Covid. Read USA is considering the need for a 4th Covid shot, then another every 4 months, or so, after that, but the news report stated that is not really realistic to implement.
Saw on the TV news tonight that the Covid booster shot loses its effectiveness within 4 months after receiving the shot. Then the risk of not ending up in a hospital and dying from Covid is reduced to around 78%. After that the booster shot continues to lose effectiveness. If you got your Covid booster in December 2021, planning on RTO in January 2020 then that Covid booster will very soon not be very effective. April 2022 would be the mark where that Covid booster shot in December 2021 begins to wane in effectiveness. The company is planning RTO just as all of the Covid shots, including Covid booster shots are becoming much less effective in preventing Covid in the individual. Wells Fargo should postpone RTO for quite a while. No one is really going to want to be going up to their fellow co-workers and speaking face to face, not 6 feet apart. Covid has NOT ended.

The great reset is going well. The country is so divided that there are now two sizable population, one that would never go back to pre covid era, and otherwise. They are playing us like a fiddle. I heard Chase is inviting everyone back in phases, but they are not forcing everyone back. Their HR said it is optional for now and that people should make a chance to get used to being there

How come they say it is safe to return to the office while we cannot still find COVID tests, there are obvious shortages on supplies and genuine masks that actually work, not the ones made from your old underwear.
I am worried that there will be office fights and verbal arguments over masks and vaccines because it will now have the 2 poles put together in the same spot and both come from opposite directions. This is really going to be an issue

You are exactly the reason that this pandemic has gone on for two years, our health workers are overwhelmed for most of that time and still are, and this feeling of not wanting to RTO exists.
That being said, the mask optional policy for anyone is ridiculous in any situation with anyone you don’t live with. Don’t take their word for being vaccinated because like sleeping dogs, people LIE.
