Disclosure to submit to monitoring

Just logged on to my computer to an electronic monitoring disclosure V2 which you had to read and accept the disclosure. Anyone else see this disclosure yet?

You'd never know if they did. Or for example if connecting to Pulse auto enables those whether you have disabled them or not. You should consider everything you do on a work device to be heavily monitored.

are they turning on the microphone and camera to monitor?

what people said - this is a disclosure, this is not an acceptance of your willingness for big brother to watch what you're doing. this is reminding you of that fact.

Of course WF is monitoring your computer activity just like any other employer. Ever heard of "Acceptable Use Policy" and "Data Loss Prevention"? Face it, you/we have zero expectation of privacy while using company-issued computers.

It's for all Microsoft office products (Teams, 365, and so on). You'll have to re-agree every few months. You most likely won't see it if you're on Office 2016.

But you're monitored in most apps we use on a daily basis.

once I moved to teams I started seeing this and have had to click it a few times over the last couple months. as already stated, this is nothing new. the company owns your computer and can monitor anything you do on it. here's some career advice, don't look at nudy pics while ok the clock

This sounds like someone with a computer issue provided tech support with the incorrect MAC address, which just happened to be yours, and once the tech got on and saw it was the wrong computer, disconnected the session.

As others have mentioned, WF, and any other company for the matter, does monitor your computer. Your chats, your emaills, logins, websites, location, all of it.

Two decades with the company and I’ve never seen this before. When you get hired with the company you sign a similar document so this seems weird and redundant.

If you’re not doing anything to worry about, you don’t have anything to worry about.

Probably not a coincidence that after accepting the monitoring disclosure that I had someone request a remote session. I accepted and the person browsed my desktop for less than one minute before logging off.

This is not new. Monitoring and recording your activities when using company hardware has always been the norm.

What may be news is that, they may start using collected information to fire or lay folks off.

There is nothing to worry about if you are working as expected.

This just in: Companies can monitor anything you do on or with their systems.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
