RTO and flexible work schedules

We have our RTO date of 3/14, but has anybody from a call center heard if we will have a flexible work schedule option ?? What about the equipment we had to take from the office (e.g. monitors) to be able to work from home ?? Are we going to be desk sharing in the office ? I am not getting any info from local leadership.

There is an effort under way to collect all of the equipment that was sent home. it will ramp up more as people RTO. Failure to return that equipment is the same as theft.

This makes zero sense. The laptop or desktops we use do not work like that. The hard drive is in the laptop or desktop. Everything else (mouse/keyboard/dock/monitors) is external and non-data bearing. As we move to the BYO option this year, you will have to use your own equipment at home, and at your work desk you will have a terminal or a very basic laptop with no apps installed locally that you will use to connect to a virtual session.

I know in our complex they upgraded every work station so laptop of the existing hard drive could be used.

Latest I heard was tech/hr/support go back 3/14. Operations go back 4/1 (my group) and not happy, but ok. I heard call center teams are WFH until September or perhaps indefinitely. Any other
news?

Keep the equipment they provided for home and make them give you new equipment for the office.

The new virtual solution will be the equipment we are using in the office, and BYO at home. It is coming.

I don't know current contact center plans, but at one point they were talking about 1 week in the office/1 week WFH to keep the space socially distanced in the office. If that plan continues, you'll have to keep equipment at home. I wouldn't be surprised if they bought more equipment for the office to allow that model to work
