Hi there. Yes, I have read the posts about many issues with upper management and it's a bit discerning, but it's not sunshine and rainbows where I work either. Always dodging layoffs where tenure does not matter. Management is happy with me not being promoted so I keep doing a lot of their work, etc. However, one thing that's hardest for me to get past at my place of employment is management always rushing so fast to say things are done that they don't think about any effects. They do just enough to say its covered without making sure its accurate for fully covers the issue. They use the same general term for multiple things which confuses everyone to no end, like with loan mod workouts. They have no plans to attempt to correct bad data tables which hurt data accuracy. My question is, how is WF at data integrity and having the correct tools for the job? Is it just as a pain there to get the correct information needed? Do normal employees have access to SQL to pull reports? Thanks!

OP- I’d estimate that it would be rare to find most low level employees with query access to SQL and most of them couldn’t do their own tables if their lives depended on it. Most wouldn’t even know what SQL is. It really depends on the job type and access needed. WF tends to take a “as little access needed to get the job done” approach for risk purposes. Mid level managers and employees often pull the reports and crunch the numbers, or they may have a Sr team lead do some minor stuff.
Thanks for the response. I work for a very large mortgage company and most people have access to SQL, or can at least request with only low-level management approval, though more sensitive tables required access levels. My SQL query building gives me an edge over others for creating reports and gathering info much quicker than having to rely on others; though it's not necessarily part of my job description. So, I don't want to lose out on that advantage if WF does not allow users to query their tables. I've been reading on here about tons of layoffs and bad management. That combined with the fact the WF has to return to office makes me resonsider. I always had a positive image of WF or even USAA but the more I read, the worse they look.

A bit discerning? Discerning means selective, judicial, insightful. I don’t think that’s the right word.
No “normal” employees can’t pull sql reports. It is job specific and access related, so it can be pretty locked down for you if you aren’t needing to work with them. From what you described I’d say it’s almost exactly the same here.
