IT guy here. WF used to have a great reputation in the IT community. This was a company that people ASPIRED to join.
But it isn't that way anymore, and it hasn't been for quite some time.
Word gets around.
Actively looking outside and hoping for a severance. Technology is a joke here.
We lost some software engineers today, no backfills allowed since they were layoffs. So now we're down about 60% from pre-layoffs and management, "Thinks we can do our job with even less."
Never mind that we can't cover all the work that's now being requested of us.

Lots of people leaving = lots of postings.
All banks are spending billions over the next decade. Why do you think tech or data headcount are babied across industries. If you're in those area's at this bank your an id--t though you should look around, you can get a serious pay increase and have much better working conditions, hint hint perm remote.
It's hard to attract talent when everyone knows to avoid your company.
I'm hoping to make it one more soon!
