It's only been a week since I went back to the office. There weren't a lot of people in, but the change of the space in which I work definitely was a shock to me. A lot of distractions, uncomfortable chairs, and the smell of the space was not that pleasant. I just didn’t feel comfortable and that feeling stuck with me throughout the whole week.
Looking back at the work that I’ve done in the past week I noticed I have completed a lot less than what I used to complete when I was working from home.

The first thing I noticed was also the smell. It sticks with you.
Why would they force this on us? It's so crystal clear that it doesn't make any sense.
Can the people who run this company really be that stupid or out of touch?
And what does that say about the future of this company if these are the same people who make really important decisions?
I just don't get it.
I can work earlier and longer at home. No distractions since my office is a dedicated space and not a freaking unassigned cube who I am not sure used it the day before and if they were sick. I am not customer facing, I work in operations. I work with peers, and Zoom/Skype/Team is more than sufficient to "collaborate". I know people who work elsewhere for larger companies and they are given the choice to work from home or in the office. Yes, WFH isn't for everyone. Just like being in the office isn't for everyone. I don't need to have people around me in order to get work done. I am a self-starter. I prefer to be left alone so I can get my job done. Why doesn't this company trust its employees? Certain team members...(err.. employees, sorry Charlie) need to be in the office if they work directly with customers, but those of us that don't? Why?
Indeed my productivity has dipped maybe 50% or more on office days. A few days I’m lucky to get 2 hours of real work time in the office. At home even my children would leave me alone while I was working and they were home schooling.
Send a message. Do nothing. Better yet, refuse to RTO. Remember there is strength in numbers.
Everyone should be deliberately slowing down their work with RTO, do the bare minimum and make em feel it
If that’s all it takes to throw you off your game I bet your performance was never that good to begin with
