Lots of projects and teams trying to burn company money for pointless travel ‘off sites’. Anyone getting approved for it so far?

Consumer Lending tech managers have been traveling extensively. Charlotte last week, Des Moines this week.
I have always been suspicious that this travel culture is a product of unhappy home lives, alcoholics and affairs. I have given up a huge chunk of my life to useless travel for this company. Yeah, the parties and comraderie have been great, but I enjoyed the COVID respite a lot more.
CS and his directs use any one of the company private jets.
All the execs are planning, scheduling and booking travel and hotels for all their pointless in-person offsite meetings. And they don’t stay in the cheap hotels or sit in coach.
We're hearing that there's going to be an uptick in the amount of business travel.
It is falling under the umbrella of "agile collaboration", which is the term that is being thrown around for any expense that needs automatic and unquestioned approval.
Yes. Actually business travel was approved even in last year. It's definitely not pointless since each AU has cost reduction goal no would waste any money.
