Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

And then one day...

Thousands of us worked just fine for years before the pandemic... From home...

And then one day WF decided to terminate all WFH contracts for no good reason...

It said on the Workplace site telecommute agreements were terminated. Now we find out they weren't ALL terminated. They wonder why morale is so low. Not ALL companies, not ALL banks are RTO. There are plenty of FT remote opportunities out there cuz companies discovered how much money they can save w/o office buildings

Heard managers have to take office "productivity" notes on each of us. NOW the truth is revealed. Anyone else hear this?

My team had a last minute call to allow all of us to stay permanently remote last week, however it came with the caveat of closing down our physical office. Then we found out we will not be able to promote, hire, or backfill any positions because they decided we are no longer a hub! I’m fine for the next couple years but who knows after that. Feels like a monkeys paw situation, since I really didn’t want to return to office.

From what I've been able to tell, is that everyone in my LOB had their WFH agreements terminated... everyone... from those that WFH during the pandemic to those, like myself, that have WFH for years. And to hear that this didn't apply to all departments, as it clearly didn't, it just yet another slap in the face.

Not "all" WFH contracts were terminated. The only people going back in to office from my team were the ones that didn't have remote agreements before covid. The rest of us have our agreements intact.

Did you see OP mention years BEFORE the pandemic?

Those people are NOT getting called back at all other cos.

Big difference.

Read the post again. OP is talking about pre-pandemic WFH.

You really think it's only WF doing this? Everyone I know who WFH for two years is getting called back. It was fun while it lasted but .. it's over for now.

Basically, it's a Charlie thing. He wants USA workers replaced with India workers. Anything that helps that will be implemented. When customers start to understand who has access to their accounts then things might change.
