If you were laid off due to your position being eliminated and later your same job position is posted. You have the right to take legal action. Your job position can only be replaced if you are terminated.

@9Izpj+1fGCV4et Which dept.? The company’s goal is to lay off 10k or more associates before 2024. Then come 2024 associates titles and departments will all go thru a renaming again.

There is no way to add a new post here. Is elevance paying the layoff to keep the posts off this site?

Due to the large amount of future associates to be laid off. They will not receive the same severance package like the associates that were laid off before them. That’s how cheap, uncaring and greedy this company has gotten.

@9tanr+1fGCV4et. Agreed. Keep a copy of your resume on a separate personal computer. Don't keep anything not work related on your work computer. Make sure to have copies of recent paystubs and benefits information in case you lose access. If you have retirement loans be prepared to pay them off.

Lots of dates for next round of cuts floating around this string. Rather then guess what day, just assume anyday could be your last day working here.

This company has become just another money-hungry joke. They are - like every other insurance company - consumed by their greed. They always give the "Kool-Aid" talk to their employees about how much they care about their people, but just recently they laid-off a major chunk of the Marketing department. They gave a bunch of bulls**t reasons how they're consolidating and making the department more productive - but NO ONE is buying it! As soon as the bonuses are paid out mext year, there will be a lot of people jumping ship. This company is a crock!

Saw the video posted, and noticed the associate was removed from system 2 days later, so figured he was rif'd since the video was clearly a snub to the leadership. Sad to see quality staff being let go.

20% reduction in physical health/Medicaid, not sure that behavioral health Medicaid has seen that large of a reduction so far. Lots of staff with 8+ years tenure let go in this RIF. We operate in a state of constant staffing shortages, where loyal staff work longer hours to fill the gap under the false belief they are appreciated. Then, those people are rewarded by losing their job. Disgusting! Corporate greed is out of control and those employees remaining need to unionize!!!

The company is overworking their employees. I didn’t have time to even look at the email. I thought it was spam at first. I’m not sure how this company got listed as the top 100 companies to work for. We are overworked and underpaid.

They love to outsource. What they can't outsource in the US, they send overseas. Cheap labor cost.

A company that makes 21 million dollars and hour. It makes 21 million even when everyone is asleep. How many know someone who was denied coverage for a dr-g, a procedure? Dirty yes, absolutely dirty.

Does anyone know what happens to your retirement funding if you are not vested and you are laid off? Do you loose their matching contribution? And how long do you have to have worked for Elevance to be considered for severance? And sorry for all the folks who were impacted by the RIF. My heart goes out to you - as I may very well be joining you.

22 years in. Rumors are true. Leadership begins to ask questions about staff and positions etc. Weeks ago. Some at leadership levels were notified 9/20
Associates were notified 9/21 term date is 10/20
unemployment pay plus elevance supplemental pay to make up whole pay for time served..

If you opt in for reposition support and get offered a comparable job and decline you lose pay that is offered.

You can opt out of reposition support and are on your own but will get paid.

I made 6 figures and was a great employee.
They definitely cut those with higher salaries as well..

This company bought Amerigroup when it was on the rise and a golden child of GA Medicaid. In 7-8 years they completely ruined its reputation in GA and are now in the process of ruining its data and member directory. I’m amazed the state of GA hasn’t hit them with mega-fines for how bad their data is screwed. They probably won’t win the rebid for the GBD business/foster care and sadly, that’s probably the right thing. They don’t deserve it anymore. Those days are gone, ruined by Elevance in less than 8 years.

To the people who have made negative comments about our Indian peers, for shame. You embarrass me. I'm glad you were riffed.

Being riffed is a traumatic experience but process your hurt, anger and grief in healthy ways rather than degenerating those who didn't lose their job.

Take your skills and put them to good use for another company, but no one is entitled to a job at EH. Maybe the Klan is hiring.

Your post of full of bs. There are more cuts this week, October and November. You need to stop the guess work as if it's fact. The rifs are to protect our financial performance, and the fix is in. It's takes months to go through the paperwork for RIFS, so please stop with your ridiculous narrative.

6 months and you have to sign up for unemployment

Well, it's that time of year- time to make it look like the company is making money by getting rid of the employees- none of whom are really valued. At one time when it was Anthem, severance was an early retirement package opportunity and/or the number of weeks severance was a number of weeks for each year worked.
Now, 6 months- and you have to file for unemployment.
Don't let fear set in for those of you riffed. Let yourself have time to decompress. You will be amazed at how much of your life has gotten eaten up by the corporate machine.

My manager has been so insensitive that she announced in the entire team the people who were laid off. It is going to be so uncomfortable to face your teammates until your tenure.
There is a way to announce to the team about the re-org and rather keep person whoz been laidoff ‘s choice to mention the team or team mates when comfortable.
This is sheer immaturity.
