So with RTO we go back to networking in the office. Usually that means spending long hours putting in “face time” with the boss to land a new role. By default that generally means wealthier white men who don’t have childcare or household responsibilities can spend more time in the office while single parents, women and others who carry a disproportionate amount of at home work lose out on those opportunities. WFH let us experiment with a new way of working but the people making the decisions want to return to their comfort zone.

Not to mention the pile of homeless people and vagrant camps right outside, the shootings, the people accosting you for bus money so they can go get high, the political marches and protests clogging the streets, and the guy that says hi to you as he pees on your building as you enter.
Respectfully disagree. RTO is great for DE&I.
Consider the commute through diverse neighborhoods that you'll now be able to enjoy. Also the walk through an artistic smorgasboard of urban wonderland as you walk to your new workplace from a distant parking lot, encountering a multitude of diversity along the way.

How many excuses against RTO can we come up with? Last week was environmental impact of commuting. Now it's DE&I. What's next? Prevent infidelity at the office? Keep the pajama industry in business?
