Accommodations approval but no workday update

Can anyone with HR or managerial insights help me with a question.

My health care accommodations was approved last year via email simply saying approved. I have checked both portals (peoplesoft and workday) and both systems indicated a building placement and not remote. I received my welcome back to office email today with a return date of 3/14. I have reached out this week and was basically told my email from some Analyst was approval enough, and no additional action is required. My current manager was not my manager when I was approved, so I CCd them and their response was less than supportive.

I am due to go out on medical leave later this year for surgery. So my question is there some type of upper-level management tracking, if so, what can I do to avoid being flagged and/or terminated while I’m out for medical leave for non compliance in badge swipes bc the system has not upgraded.

This is beyond frustrating. I feel like I’m trying to cover my basis and WF, accommodations, and my manager have failed to care or properly provide me a solution. Any insight would be helpful

Op, I have not heard of service now but will do this on Monday morning. My approval came by email from accommodation analyst. It gave me a case number then it just said approved. To me it didn’t look very formal, no letter head no actual document. Just an email saying approved. I have emailed that analyst several times and they keep saying they are working on it. I guess that is my biggest concern is it just seems so botched and broken. What is the point of all this documentation and dr notes if there is no link for update

Scan your records of accommodation and add he scan to the Service Now ticket. And keep pursuing it verbally.

Do it today.

Do it tomorrow.

Do it everyday until it is resolved.

Was your accommodation approved by HR, or was it your manager at the time providing approval?

Health accommodations don't seem to be reporting correctly either on Workplace or Workday. Probably because we're still assigned an office location even if our accommodation is ongoing (permanent). They wouldn't want us to get comfortable!

Was your accommodation approved Full time Telecommute (ongoing) or was it subject to reviews? It seems that's the issue for a lot of folks.
Do me a favor and pull up your HR case closed email and post what it says here. I might be able to give you some idea of whether you need to worry or not.
Accommodations have been so F'ed up!

My favorite uncle was high up in corporate America for a large national corporation. When I got my first career job, the FIRST thing he told me was to NOT be loyal to the company, because it would NOT be loyal to me. He was right.

If you have everything approved and it's in writing, what's the big deal? Maybe just print your emails

I would also speak with an attorney. If WF cuts you while out on leave and tries to justify it by saying you were non-compliant I’m pretty sure you’d have a solid case with a nice 6 figure settlement check attached to it. Could end up being the best thing that even happened to you.

Badge swipes are not the only method of tracking compliance. Open a case with service now for documented paper trail.

Badge swipes are without question stored in some database. Non compliance will be an excuse to get rid of people.

Not a manager or HR, but I have a temporary accommodation for telecommute approved. For me, Our Workplace shows incorrectly, but I have an approved Accommodation Request logged through ServiceNow. I would suggest opening a case there so there’s confirmation outside just the email.
