RTO announcement Monday?

COO call scheduled for Monday. Anyone have any insight? Rumor has it they will announce RTO in March. Fingers crossed it’s not true.

I’m sure certain people won’t admit they are anti mask and anti vaccine misinformation just for political purposes either.

900,000 American lives and counting should be on your conscience, but you don’t care about others or public health, it is obvious by your actions.

The people who are so against RTO won't be honest and admit they are LAZY, entitled, nothings who have skated by their entire lives having things handed to them. Once they got a position paying around $65k they figured out real quick that there is no consequence dragging their heels waiting for someone else to do the work or wait for the inevitable 'change of direction ' this place is famous for.

It has nothing to do about anyone's health or productivity.

Get yourselves sorted and get back to it.

Omicron is a joke. It is a common cold. Everyone needs to get back to the office and return to normal. Stop watching the fear mongering news and move on.

I don't think ole scotty pow wow has determined how draconian he wants to be. either that, or he is waiting for saul to speak, so he can humiliate him again.

I see nothing in Teamworks / Cultworks or in email. Where’s the COO call with the big announcement?

If you enjoy getting paid, follow RTO guidelines.if pay isn’t a factor, don’t follow the guidelines. It’s that simple.

the down side to all the rto back and forth is that each time we annoucnce an official rto date we get to regurgitate the same posts about not wanting to return. it will be what it will be. while we'll have some flexibility which will be nice if you don't like it you can always try to find a remote job with another company. good luck.

Got to be in the office to talk with everyone else in other locations over the phone in support of Agile. Yup, stupid is as stupid does. SNAFU in the cult suite.

The really interesting thing is how the office vibe will be after 2 years and so many people getting stiffed.

For me, the vibe won't be different. My whole team is located in different states, and the folks I BS with, I stayed in contact with, so no changes there either.

Don’t be fooled. They are working it to happen during a “sweet” spot before the sub-variants already here start popping up more widely on tests, which should be by April/may. So they will start returning in March with “cases down” before they start back up. Just watch.

I'm a contractor and I'm concerned most by the unassigned seating arrangement. That just seems like an invitation to cross contamination. Is the unassigned seating thing still on?

Yes, I believe 'hotelling' is still the order of the day.

All these things make me more productive.

They don't care about that, it's bottoms in chairs or attrition. as a contractor, I am not sure how that plays to their plan.

As someone who was previously 100% remote, is anyone else still showing as remote in the “our workplace” site that has been told they will begin working in a specific office?

FWIW, I'm not opposed to coming in the office even though I'll be the only person from my division at that location. There are no synergies to be had for my work. I will miss my 34" curved monitor, my condenser mic, my camera setup, my office chair, and my tea and coffee I make at home. All these things make me more productive.

I feel bad for everyone going through the RTO. I'm remote with no special exemption that I'm aware of.

Tech rules.

There has been a heavy push the last month to ensure office locations are correct. We have been submitting our corrections and there is some big push to fix these in the next week.

In the past they said we would get a month's notice so I expect the date to be March 7th. My guess is the date they announce this time is the date...no more postponements regardless of any new variant.

For those who say they will put in notice to quit, don't. Work a day, skip a couple, and work a day. It's not job abandonment until you miss three consecutive days. Make these fatherless spawn of women of loose morals have to go through the performance management process to get rid of you. HR is so far behind they won't get to you and you may get the magic layoff/severance golden ticket. If they ever do fire you, so what? The auto job verification only gives your start and end dates and it's not like you will want to go back into this cess pool anytime soon.

If you don’t want to work with people just move on with your life. It is simple and has nothing to do with others health.

I can see an announcement on RTO (until it’s squashed by another variant), and top of house finally growing a pair and requiring vaccination for all employees (baring any VERIFIABLE medical exemptions). No one really wants to return to the office, but no one really wants to work with peers that don’t take their health seriously… and jeopardize the health of their coworkers as a result.🤷🏻

Here's why RTO is d-mb.

I live near two hubs. Pre-pandemic I commuted over an hour one way to be with my team. Post-pandemic I am told that I can now choose between the two hubs.

Given that one is only 20-25 minutes from home, I will probably end up there. The rest of my team will still be at the other location. So I am leaving home 3-5 days each week to still meet my coworkers over the phone. But hey, butts in seats, right?

Oh most definitely. Contact centers are chomping at the bit to get RTO underway... So much so that they managed to force in person, live classes in several sites despite RTO not even being announced yet... With many challenges on how to fill a classroom and yet continue to social distance.
