You are considered High risk, you will still get paid for those 2 weeks.
Just make sure they have you in the company books as having left on your own, not terminated. When you told them that you would be gone in two weeks, you were working for them. When they turned it around and replied oh no you don't, bye bye, that sounds like they decided you're gone. Think of it this way, you can't come to work tomorrow because you can't log on, and it was not your decision. They told you, you didn't tell them.
You'll be paid for 2 weeks along with accrued vacation. Enjoy the time off.
Wells Fargo has no required/standard notice period.

Not true unless they agreed to it. They can let you leave immediately and they only owe you for what you worked until that time plus whatever accrued PTO they owe you.
You cannot receive any unemployment if you resigned. If you gave 2 weeks notice and they told you to go home then they owe you 2 weeks pay.
I know for sensitive material jobs that go to a competitor may be released immediately as the risk of your employment is large. They typically will pay you out those 2 weeks.
This happened to me elsewhere. When they found out I was going to a competitor they told me to leave immediately and gave my two weeks pay.
Moral of the story is to always give two weeks, but say you are going to a competitor. Free two week vacation.
For some reason they think people will steal sensitive info after they give notice, and not the weeks before.
Lucky. The bi-atch I worked for made me log in everyday of my notice period.
You will be paid OP. People who quit in sensitive roles are let go immediately on notice. Don't take it as a slight or insult. Be thrilled! You just got 2 paid weeks off PLUS any carryover and accrued PTO.

IF this happened then you already know the answer to this. When you were let go, you were given an effective date. If it's two weeks out, you get the pay, if it's the day you tried to give notice, you aren't getting it. Period.
Sounds like a question for your old manager or HR. I've heard that they pay out the two weeks, but since we see different departments treat people differently, your best bet is to ask directly.
In our group, people who quit have been paid out the two weeks notice, but often don’t work the two weeks. I think that’s laid out in the handbook. I think two weeks is the standard notice and WF will pay you out for it, but you may have your systems access cut and be asked to not work out the notice period.
Sounds like employees who leave to take a job at another company should no longer bother to give the standard two weeks notice. Thanks for the warning.
I don't think I've ever heard of someone giving 2 weeks and being let go immediately. In general WF always seems to try and do the right thing on separation. I've been let go here 8 months in, and the next year they even called up out of blue after I was at another bank and said they were paying me out my bonus. That was under old management though, I honestly don't know about now with Charlie..
What type of job did you have? Why do you think you were let go immediately?
