Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

No bonus/raise info

I was hired late 2020, too late to get a review last year. My manager gave me my performance evaluation last week and it was fine, but I was expecting a conversation about money, but didn’t get one this week. I assume that means I’m probably getting nothing?

Reviews are held separate from salary discussions. Has been that way for me) for 20 years. I think they want to avoid reactions during the review like "you just said I exceed expectations, but I'm only getting a 1% raise".

There have been times where I've first learned of a salary change by looking at my pay slip. One time my then-manager even said, "I guess you already know by now" when he finally got around to the meeting formality.

new salaries are in workday now so if you go to personal information, about me, then compensation you'll know if you got a raise. bonus, if you get one, will be on this Wednesdays payslip. while they prefer you have the compensation conversation separate from the perf convo there is no explicit rule or policy forbidding doing at the same time. also, given 26th was earliest comp convo could happen perhaps your manager didn't have time yet.

The policy must be different between the various LOB's... we never hear our compensation information at the same time as our performance review. Never have in my 20 + years with the company.

@eih+1f275jog - I was actually rated “Exceeds”, but the review was written by someone other than my current manager because my manager was hired into WF late in 2021. That may be the disconnect. I guess I’ll find out what I’m getting on Wednesday.

I had my review and compensation discussion during the same meeting.

The deadline was yesterday 1/28, sounds like you have a horrible manager.

Mgrs aren't allowed to talk money during the review. They want them separate. I've heard of managers in the past waiting all the way until Tuesday and then you can see the pay stub on Wed

You should have gotten your raise amount at the time of review, but taking inflation into account if it's anything less than 6% your taking a cut in pay. Your bonus information may be communicated a day or two later, but it will show in you pay for 2-4.

We never get our performance and raise/bonus information at the same time. You'll probably hear about it Monday (the supposed deadline)

Even if you're not getting a raise, your manager should communicate that to you. I'd recommend reaching out and asking directly.
