Has anyone noticed that all tellers will now be making the same amount of money whether you were hired last month or have been with the bank for 20 years?

So let me get this straight, if you are an IT guy and you have been with the bank for 10 years and new hires will now be making the same salary as you that would be wrong but because someone is a teller they should not be rewarded for their experience and loyalty? Your arrogance is showing, tellers dont just cash checks, they are the face of the bank and while all of you as-----s were home hiding during covid they were on the frontlines dealing with all the pi---d off customers. Keeping the bank going so you id--ts would have jobs when your lazy as--s came back to your offices.

These same people are mad that they now make the equivalent of entry-level wages, for doing an entry-level job? 2 decades of zero ambition, zero growth, zero self-improvement is supposed to be rewarded?

Now if you had argued that this shows the minimum wage has fallen far, far too low due to historical inflation, then I'd have agreed with you.
You should put this on every resume you send out the rest of your life, just so hiring managers can evaluate your true character.
Tellers are the burger-flippers, baristas, and grunt laborers of the banking industry. The closest thing to a human comodity in existance.
If you're a Teller, you're only cheating yourself. You can do better.
That's the only down side to increasing minimum pay. Everyone else's pay doesn't adjust to keep their rewarded raises for their loyalty throughout the years. If you've been a teller for 30 years, you should be used to it by now with all the minimum pay increases over the last several years.
You should have been replaced by an ATM 30 years ago
Sorry but the higher ups couldn’t care less about the “relationships” Barbara has had with her customers the last 30 years. Heck, bank tellers are hardly even needed anymore, as most modern banks now have machines processing transactions. Being a bank teller nowadays is a glorified burger flipping position with nicer work attire. Please put your name tag back on.
Kinda sad if this is true. Knowledge and the personal relationships that a teller has over many years with customers are very valuable and very real in terms of impact to the bottom line.

I will never understand why people thing that just by doing the same amount of work in the same job makes you deserve more. No grow your skills and get a new job. Companies owe employees zip beyond your paycheck. You owe them nothing other than a solid days work. When it comes to divorcing zero notice on other side although they will pay you and you just say see ya sucks to be ya
