What does it mean if someone is on RASP?

I am hoping this adds an extra 2 weeks pto, under the RASP cost code. Does this sound right?
Actually not a new concept. This is something that came up in one of my accounting / audit courses and is part of internal controls in finance (where it started). For example that loyal accountant that never takes a vacation and has no relief. They could be stealing so one internal control is to ensure that someone takes a vacation and someone else fills in which essentially would potentially uncover some unethical or criminal activity. Too me it provides oversight and clearly the process is a good one but I am not sure it will do WF a lot of good. We had this whole fiasco with fraud accountants and everyone on top was either ignorant or could claim it but them taking mandatory time off makes zero sense. Sales, loans revenue areas but top level Exec’s it is a retreat for all the hard work they do.

Wells Fargo cares about employee well being. So they give their workers a couple weeks to decompress outside of the daily afternoon four hours of pto.
Citi had a version of this but stupidly applied it to everyone including IT and IT security people.
The intention was for this to apply to people who trade or are in revenue generating front office roles.
RASP (mandatory consecutive 2-week PTO forsensitive positions) designed to ferret out problematic activity that would otherwise be difficult to determine.

Certain types of jobs require a 2 week vacation every year (using pto) as it’s a way to determine if they’re hiding/doing illegal activities or even unethical that would otherwise be harder to catch if you’re able to cover it up. There’s a policy on it and again it’s based on specific job functions- typically in the securities space, trading, etc.

As a VP, I do have to suffer through this yearly.
And while they are gone, their actions/activities get audited. Common practice industry-wide.
