There is a huge labor shortage that is not limited to retail. Everybody is looking for experienced employees and is offering plenty of incentives to those who join. Verizon is underpaying its employees as it is. Add the inflation to it, and I can't figure out why there isn't a mass exodus happening right now.

Verizon way under pays for retail employees the commission structure is complete garbage if you think otherwise you’re not a retail sales rep at all she work at fu----g Walmart
Interviewed and almost got a position paying 150 all in (90 currently at Vz) so there is certainly salary growth potential. Honestly having a difficult time finding benefits that are comparable (although in the case of the company I was interviewing with their benefits were good albeit a mid sized company)
There are many places vz underpays unfortunately im in the overpaid and am trapped unless i want a big cut.
What Verizon does is manipulate the job titles and span of control which impact pay ranges. It is abused.
The money is good, the benefits used to be good, but the reason for the better than average comp is because of all of the boneheads that you have to but up with who have the personalities of open sores, and managerial intelligence of a high school prom queen.
Verizon does not underpay its employees. If anything, they generally pay at or above market rates. They also offer excellent benefits. I don't understand why people stay here and complain when they think they can do better elsewhere.
