I am about to graduate in June and I live very close to Wells Fargo IT offices in Chandler. I have a health condition which makes commuting long distances difficult - so, getting a job in my field (CS Major) would be perfet. I know this is a layoff site but since the forum is fairly lievely I thought I might try to get an answer here. Thanks in advance.

OP, yes, no.
The way the world works is you apply somewhere, maybe you get an interview, maybe they already have someone in mind, maybe the interviewer is having a bad day, maybe you have a bad day, and maybe you get the job.
There are uncertainties in the world and you're worried about life, of course, but the answer to your question is yes, no.
Just post online everywhere and you'll get calls. IT people are in short supply right now, you'll find something.
If you don't get hired at Wells trust me, you'll be happier.
IT person here who has worked for many companies over the past 30 years.
IT at WF is more about filling out forms, making requests, attending worthless meetings, navigating byzantine processes, and creating documentation that nobody will ever read.
You won't actually get to DO anything from an IT perspective. All that work has either gone offshore, or is going offshore.
WF is about as bad as it gets, in my experience. It's incredibly frustrating to KNOW how to fix a problem, and yet not be ALLOWED to fix it. But that's the daily routine here.
You can do better.
I've been going to school while working here trying to switch my career. There are very few entry-level ever posted, and in my experience there is very little help or advice from HR or hiring managers.
Don’t apply here. There are so many better opportunities. You’ll find no room for advancement, and lose your mind with lazy and incompetent leadership in IT.
You should talk to the recruiters at your school, there are alot of different opportunities for early talent/emerging talent.
Don't waste the beginning of your career at Wells Fargo! Take your talents to a place where you can make a difference and add some value. Wells is not it.

Yes.
Just apply when you're ready. Don't listen to the doomsday crowd. Coming out of college you may not have many choices. So get some offers and pick the best one
You don't want to work here...not now.....maybe after 3 to 4 years(?) +. WFB is continuing to try and reinvent itself. I would not wish this upon you. If "IT" financial services is where you want to be, go to a bank that does not have an identity/leadership issue. Our leadership teams are clueless, and out of sync with themselves and all employees.

If you are a CS major, try getting an internship followed by a job in a tech or fintech company. IT for Wells is nothing but a cost center (at least that's how it is treated) and you want to be in a firm where tech is the major revenue source. At any employer where IT is not a core competency, your job will be rife with politics and subject to offshoring or elimination with limited opportunities for growth.
