Anyone that thinks that there is not already a Tableau report ready to present and start tracking Badge swipes come back to earth. They will be tracking and i saw a skeleton of the report so they are ready. It will pop up on Management reports and 365 for compliance. The excuse will be they have to monitor workflow. Other large company i am aware of already had management talk to the employees that were not coming into office as scheduled so WF will not be the only one. If you are immunocompromised go to the doctor get a vaccine or keep whining. If anyone is naive enough to believe that RTO will not be tracked regardless of what your manager says they will. It is top down and your bosses will be dinged for your attendance enforcement.
Okay. I heard that same “interpretation” of agile RTO. I believe it was followed up with a ALL EMPLOYEES 3/2 if you are on AGILE it could be more for mandatory meetings. Scott was clear that it was a mandate but we are all trying to find loop holes.
I get no one wants to RTO. But using fear of COVID as a excuse is BS. We all go out and eat out and shop and play sports whatever. Not a fear in the world and probably complain about having to wear a mask in some places but suddenly we pull the COVID card on RTO. It is hypocritical and guess what. Don’t like it find one of the great jobs you are all talking about. Stop talking and demanding WF behave a certain way. LEAVE. Then you will find out you are not going to be missed. Like most of us i will RTO to keep my job
Omg people. Tech is this simple -
On an agile team in the registry = only key events. If you wanted to stack up the events, it could be as little as half a day in the office every 2 weeks. Get yourself registered. Even if not a developer, form a Kanban team with a few friends.
Not on an agile team = 2/3 days a week
Level 4 from CEO = 3 days a week
You might have missed the memo. People misunderstood Saul when he said that. What he meant by ‘mandatory events’ and ‘key events’ is 2-3 days a week. Shame on you for not understanding him properly.
So everyone knows, tech is not affected by RTO with their policy if in office only for key events
How are people thinking that RTO will be pushed back? For tech, they’ve sent out at least 3 emails about coming back Jan 10th
fha+1elr5c5q did you mean board or bored? Cuz I know I am 😉
While I understand how nuts this is making people... at some point ya gotta get on the bus or find a different one.
...or people that care about the work they do and realize RTO is counterproductive.
I "get" that you want to socialize at work, but it's a waste of time for the vast majority of employees whether they like the idea of doing it or not. Water cooler talk is a notorious time waster. Higher ups are like 'they'll collaborate!' and in reality the employees wind up chatting about the weather, the local sports team, and how d-mb the newest directive from on high is. That's not work.
People who don't want to RTO are pretty much old ladies, based on what I've read in this board. Sigh.
Leadership has NO mercy. Jan 10 is happening.
Double vaxxed and boosted and I still got Delta. Boosters don’t prevent you catching or spreading it, it just lessens the symptoms.
"Heck, more vaccinated than unvaccinated are getting omicron. Straight from the CDC site."
I haven't validated those numbers, but the hire the rate of vaccination, the more likely this becomes. Consider, for example, the unlikely event that there is a 100% vaccination rate. In that case, everyone getting omicron would have been vaccinated.
The only way I’m comfortable going back is if all employees are tested, unless they have all boosters. Having the first two doses is no longer effective as being shown.
Heck, more vaccinated than unvaccinated are getting omicron. Straight from the CDC site.
RTO announcements have been very quiet lately so my bet is it will get changed again.
The NFL is starting to move games due to Covid. That means this is real. No way this is mandatory come January…
Looking at the votes there are going to be a lot of people upset.
C'mon kids! Quit kidding yourselves.
As much as it stinks - time to suck it up and move on.
How could the date stand when they say they are concerned for our safety? Oh wait, it's WF, home of the d-mbest of d-mb leadership scandals aside. Carry on and get your a$$es in the office.
In my state there are places that are bringing in refrigerated trailers b/c they're running out of morgue space again. CA has instituted mask mandates again.
My bet is we'll end up delaying it again especially after the holidays when all the super spreader stuff kicks in.
100% sure some teams can be as flexible as possible but not 100% remote. Badge is not tracked for now.
It already has been in certain LOBs like mine.
