I'm aware of the 2021 salary midpoint of this job title, per the recently removed job info pdf.
But I'm wondering what people with this title are actually earning for their base? (Not asking for anything else that might "out" you.)
I'm aware that there are different pay markets, but I'm pretty sure the MRP for most (outside of CA/NY) are about the same.
I think I'm behind the 8 ball but I'll never get an honest answer from mgmt/HR.
They're going to be re-titled as Software Engineers, with AVP titles.
I am an C 5 and make 157k annual; plus large bonus
maybe talk with your manger, he may not want to pay market rates or come to our group as manager honors market base pay
they usually make in the $140k plus range in the United States; overseas they make the $110k - $130k range

I have two AC5s that report to me (both in Area 2) and one makes $112k and one makes $120k. The difference is that the lower one got an underfunded promotion before I picked him up earlier this year in a re-org. If you’re Area 2, that’s going to be the rough range, with some outliers on either end.
Take 80-85% of the midpoint and that will ballpark what peers in your area are being hired at.
If you are much lower than this, suggest finding a new role or hopping job family’s. Your current area will most likely not be able to make major adjustments.
I was at threshold (min) in a CPC risk role then took a “lateral” / equivalent AC job and went up 20k because of these newish hiring practices.
In the past I would only move up 10% with a promotion. But from what I’ve gathered recently HR is trying to get everyone in a job title at 80-85% ish of the mid. Regardless of prior pay.
Big company problems/policy’s, you’re rewarded for job hopping. Get after it.
