I listened to all the manager calls on RTO and there are a few things everyone should consider:
- Reporting on who’s in office won’t be immediately available
- People who refuse to return but continue to work remotely will be counseled before any corrective action measures are taken and it can’t be considered job abandonment.
- If enough people refuse to return the company will be forced to reconsider as they don’t have the resources or a plan to handle mass noncompliance.
- The aggressive and repetitive messaging as of late is a scare tactic to get people to show up because they know if there is mass noncompliance their hands will be tied.
Quietly recruit your like-minded coworkers to just continue working remotely.
I wonder if there is a way to organize as a remote workers union to provide a mechanism for collective bargaining?
