Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WF’s decision to RTO is insane

It’s insane to me that WF is making everyone return to office with Omicron cases rising. Many companies are pushing back their RTO date, colleges are going online again, and we don’t even know the long-term effects of this new variant. Just because it only causes “mild” symptoms right now doesn’t mean we know what long terms effects there are. Plus there are so many people who were social distancing that are now forced to come in??? So pathetic.

Charlie - what is worse? Look like a ick/give WF even worse reputation (we treats customer & employees like crp) & make people RTO or having too many employees?

It’s crazy how they are pushing forward. I can’t believe they wouldn’t ease into a few groups in or people in one or 2 days to start to make sure everything goes well. The current plan to have most groups back 3 days a week starting Jan 10th is a recipe for disaster. Why not ease in - other than as we know to agitate employees and try and force them out.

Used to like working at wells but it’s gotten so bad the way they treat employees between the job titles changes and less transparency, delayed 401 match, calling us employees rather than team members, etc etc. Continue to throw stuff at us that makes no sense and shows zero value for employees.

My brother RTO'd for a single week. That decision was rescinded when a significant portion of his office contracted covid in that week. It'll take a large portion of us getting sick to get WF to even consider changing their mind.

Wait, so now we're supposed to be worried about long term effects of things? Interesting...

When you remember that RTO is all about forcing voluntary headcount reductions, then what they're doing all makes sense.

It is their goal to reduce headcount in the least expensive way possible.

Where I live, everyone is back in their office and they act like COVID doesn't exist. Must be a regional thing.

@fga+1ej5Ow6N absolutely no one I know who works an office job is back in the office yet and won’t be until indefinitely. Cornell made their finals online instead of in-person due to rising Covid cases. Companies who have been in office will soon be wfh.

My husband has been back to his company for months now and my children has been back to school as well. And here I am working from home. Why has WFC been on the tail end of RTO?

Most other companies have been back in the office for a while, get used to it.

Yeah, I will remember that "Better together" in the Emergency Ward or sitting in some hallway waiting for an opening of another over-run hospital. Thanks Covid, but thank you too WF!

They don’t know the long term affects of omicron or delta or any of the COVID variants. We should all try to avoid it and stop perpetuating this pandemic.

Once again, Wells Fargo takes the low road and does what is not in the best interests of pretty much everyone. All the “better together” BS is just that… BS!
