But that's Morgan Stanley...this is Wells Fargo where we do everything the right way... forgets about the unmasked lady in the background during one of SVB's AMA/coffee session/townhall/all-hands/all-star chat/MVP talk sessions

Agreed with @hap+1eiT1cPE up until s/he brought race into it.

Help me understand why the color of one's skin has ANYTHING to do with the discussion here...?

Crazies, I have been everywhere and never caught it. Stop hiding and get out. Masks don't work and the vaccines certainly don't work. It's a money grab at this point.

Agreed. I still see my family, I test regularly, I’m vaccinated and we wear masks if we have been around others outside of our bubble too.

But outside of that, not having to shop in stores has saved so much money and time. I even bought my most recent car online. Technology, digital payments, shopping, and the IoT has exploded due to the pandemic and is hurtling us towards where we should have been 15 years ago.

No one said anything about being locked up in a house all of the time. I do plenty of outdoor things and have lots of activities to keep me busy. I just don’t need to go into big brick and mortar buildings where loads of people congregate. It hasn’t been necessary for a few years now but COVID sped it up further and really put a spotlight on risky behaviors. Choosing not to do those things doesn’t make you a shut in. I can save money and time for more of the things I’d rather do, instead.

Covid is an endemic now and should still be taken seriously. However, we need to keep living and being locked up in your house is going to degrade your brain significantly

Exactly. I haven’t been to a restaurant since January of 2020. Some people shouldn’t be so quick to make assumptions. It’s not worth the risk to me, I can order food to go and enjoy it at home…

I’m not going to restaurants, movie theaters, churches, concerts, stores, schools, or any other indoor petri dishes in 2022, probably 2023 and 2024 as well.

The CEO at MSCO is a jacka$$.

I resent his rationalization “If you can go into a restaurant, you can come into the office,”
I’ve heard the same bs from various managers at WFC too. It is incredibly demeaning and controlling, all about keeping employees under management’s thumb. The truth is there is a big difference between the risk of venturing out to a restaurant for 2 hours occasionally, or even once a week, and the risk of spending 8 hours/day in a crammed office 5 days per week.

These financial industry white male CEOs all act like they were all raised in the Dark Ages.

I’m going to guess that people got better jobs and he had to learn the hard way. Or that suddenly people don’t want to work there.

I am not a fan of RTO but it they are going to base “safe to return” to the office based on covid, people should never return. There are vaccines, and a soon to be dominant variant that is pretty weak going around now.

Side note: I hated the open space environment even before covid. Lots of germs and people getting sick in the winter because people always came in sick. Even if this variant ends up a bad cold, you will see a lot of people being sick and infecting others. They should give everyone 5 sick days (and not take away pto days), if they truely want people to come back in the office and not spread sickness.

It takes a real man to admit that. Chuckie is not that - he’s weak and lazy at best, and that’s being kind.
