Did Charlie really say we sounded like a cult? Any details on that?

When he got to that portion of the Town Hall he seemed to come unhinged. Like someone pi33ed in his cornflakes that day so he took it out on all of us. Was sad, really. That a CEO of a large bank would talk that way to the masses. But, on the flip side, I think he showed his true colors finally. He's an unhinged psycho who doesn't care about his employees.
Call me whatever you want. I’m here for the paycheck.
No one cares. He was right. "Team Members" was childish.
Looks like someone woke up OP from their nap
Team members are an asset and important to the company. Employees are an expense and replaceable overseas.
He isn’t mandating anything and very specifically says if you want to refer to other employees as team members or teammates or whatever, feel free. He will not be mandating anyone use the term “team member” and he will not be using it. Our executives still use team members as do most of our management. I really don’t see the big deal.
He was right. Referring to ourselves as "team members" was lame and childish.
Thanks for the time stamp. That was the most convoluted BS I’ve ever hear. It’s funny that he talks about not liking mandates, but then mandates we use “employee”
I love how he goes to DEI nonsense about it being not inclusive because of sports analogies. It’s not a sports analogy. I’ve worked for four large corporations in my life, Wells is by FAR the least cult like, and I certainly have worked for cult corporations before
Yep - verbatim quote from our as----e CEO… “Joining the company, it felt like a cult. I don’t know how else to describe it.”
The guy is a ducking loser
Watch replay of the January 20, 2022 CEO Townhall. His “cult” comments start at the 48:15 time stamp.
Great topic, i haven’t seen any threads on this yet. Five stars
Watch the video replay of it. Truly entertaining.
