What's a good way to say goodbye to the wider group after I quit?

Just be a grownup and say thanks, it's been great getting to know and work with you all.
Send an email or just hollar to everyone on the way out and wave. Nicely, all fingers waving together, not just one.
Because it's a very, very small world, and if you p-e in the fake plant like some are suggesting, you'll always be that peed in the fake plant person.
Even if you get fired, and disagree with why.
Don't be the p-e guy.
If anybody works in the NOC, go down to LL2, turn left and go through the 'agony booth', and then turn right and go into the cubicle area.
About 40 feet down the first row, right where all the managers sit, there's a fake potted plant that's about 6 feet tall. The pot that it's in smells like peee. There's a reason for that, which I will leave to your imagination!
Troll their social media with the horror story of your layoff under a fake account. THEY LOVE THAT.......
If it's an Emergency Termination action, you'll probably have only a few minutes to send out any parting shots.

or "Just do it!"
Usually I get an email as a bcc from them letting me know it's their last day etc. Since everyone is bcc you know they liked you but can't see everyone else they liked.
They take away everyone’s access now who is displaced within a few hours at most. Limits insider threat risk.

Because we are pretty much all RTO, send a brief email the day you are leaving. So many have jumped ship it's too damn hard to keep up with it anyway.
Start adding people now to your linkedin profile. You’ll likely forget a lot of them after you leave so add while fresh in memory.
If you get laid off, you have until 5 that day to say any goodbyes.
Happy Birthday H0||y-style email to the entire company. Have a few friends 'accidentally' reply-all to get things rolling.

Seriously, you have to seek advice on how to say goodbye to your coworkers on a layoff board? You can't figure things out on your own? What's next, a question on how to wipe your a**?

its odd you never see any/many messages from the 'dumped' and you have to rely on rumor or the eventual zz.............

Say goodbye to the people who matter to you directly and forget everyone else. You don't care about them and they don't care about you.
Include your personal email if you're inclined.
Have it ready ahead of time because your departure can be abrupt.
I did the "It was so nice working with you all" email after my first 1 or 2 jobs. Then it was Irish.
They're coworkers, not friends. Most of them deal with you because they have to, not because they want to.

I agree, you will find that work associations evaporate very quickly once you have left. No one really cares.
You can allways do an Irish Goodbye which is leaving without saying anything. Typically folks do not care.
