I expect a little something in my stocking to pay for this inflation we've been enduring for the last 6-8 months.

Outlook not good.
@1zgj+1eNtmZsJ time will tell but I've never heard of 3% standard. I hope you're right for all our sakes!
Pay will be better than past years but far less than inflation. 3% standard, 4-5% for high performers. Heard from a friend who is in an MD and has seen the numbers.
the only way you would ever keep pace with inflation is to change jobs or change companies. Employees have been trained to expect next to nothing. All this constant talk about reducing expenses, increasing efficiency, challenging environment, regulators keeps the bug in our ear. co-workers always telling each other about 1%-2% why would you ever expect to get more. WF knows this and budgets for it accordingly to keep these raises at minimum.
OP asks a legit question. Can't Charlie address it? Everything went up! Don't get me started on what I am now and what I will be paying for gasoline come RTO.
OP: I would hope you are right. But I sincerely doubt it.
OP, are you selling what you're smoking
@fwq oh you can predict the future?
FAKE NEWS.
I got an 8% increase! Great year!
If you want to get decent pay and reasonable increases, get a union job.
But you work at Wells Fargo. Expect your increase to be worthless, same as it has been for the past decade or so.
If you are around after cuts that may be forthcoming you can bet that Prince Charles views it as if you have a job, feel fortunate. A monetary bump to help for inflation. What who, where? Don't be serious!
You will get exactly that, a little something, and not a penny more.
