I found it easily enough with Google and the point the guy was making is that deaths overall are up and he attributes some of it to people catching covid, recovering then passing away shortly thereafter. These deaths are not reported as covid deaths but with covid hammering the immune system, other diseases (cancer etc.) can get in and finish you off so he's thinking they are indirect covid deaths. I guess if you're in the insurance business and your payouts are going up, it makes sense.

I personally didn't find it especially insightful. Seems to me he was just stating the obvious at a conference for insurance types who might be interested in this type of metric.

The people running this forum won't allow the original source to be posted. I'd love to answer the question but it's apparently not allowed here. Some duckduckgo searches could prolly find it. It's a life insurance company CEOs data. That's about all I can say without, apparently, being censored.

You posted the same thing the other day and despite looking at a few reputable sources, I can't find any supporting evidence for your numbers. Do you have a source for this or is it just conjecture?

What the heck is “ Tabbaco” and can you translate the rest of your post for us English speaking participants?

Thanks in advance.

@1imq+1eMatK5n

You're entire arguement is built upon Big Tabbaco quality "data" that was specifically engineered to sell dr-gs, and it's highly effective at it. I'm in the loop on a pretty large number of people at the company, and the vaccinated are the ones missing the most work, having the most serious symptoms, etc. In the long term it will be worse due to weakened immune systems incapable of fighting off much of anything. In breaking news, you kind of need those ki---r T cells to prevent all kinds of bag things from happening to you. Done much in-person work lately? Then you know a few people that are 'fully vaccinated' that sound like they are escapees from the local TB ward. These people are constantly sick, which experts and researchers theorized would happen as soon as these dr-gs came to market. The immune system is exceptionally complex, and we've messed with it without having any idea what the results might be. "Coincidentally", all cause mortality among prime-age people jumped massively last year. A 10% jump is a 1-in-200 years event. In 2021 it was up 40% with the majority of those people not being COVID cases. You can put your head in the sand so deep you've got magma in your ear canal if you want, it really doesn't matter. They can cancel people and tweak the search algorithms so the truth doesn't come up, but at the end of the day mortality data can't be silenced. The fact that they are even trying tells us everything we need to know about their intent.

Wells Fargo never required us to get the vaccine. What's the point of this thread? This is the Wells Faro layoff site. If I wanted to debate the news, I'd go elsewhere. I suggest you do the same.

The only thing the vaccine accomplished was making the pharmas rich.

If employers choose to require their employees to vax, they need to be put on a list so the public can decide if they want to continue doing business with an employer that deprives their employees of their Constitutional rights.

if you were directing this back to me (who asked the 'why the unvaxxed fear'), you continue to suspect i have a motive. i'm just trying to understand.

But i give up. Looks like both sides are dug in and believe what they want to believe. No room for common ground or respect for others' opinions, apparently.

I don't do any of that and will not, until vax requirements are required for travel or public buildings. Until then I am happy to keep working and living my life outside of those areas.

Why is there such heavy anti-vax advocacy and propaganda on all these layoff message boards?

I see where you're trying to lead me, again, and will disprove all your weak arguments, again.

If the three rabid anti-vaxers on my team are out for a week+, I guarantee you that my life is going to be miserable. Multiple must-cover shifts will be left unfilled because we're that short-staffed by this company. I also don't want to be soaked for the medical bills of all long-term covid cases, which are going to significantly add up. The one plus here is it'll be a huge driver in the single-payer debate going forward. None of us want to pay for something preventable, kind of like all those chubby southern and mid-western folks who lead the nation in diabetes prevalence.

If the numbers are due to behavior, then I absolutely do not want to be around people who, simply by the way they act, are that much more likely to get, and spread, a deadly pathogen. Again, it's about risk management. Their laziness already causes me more work, if it also causes me health risk, no deal.

Any other false equivalencies you'd like to bring up?

@1gnt, i'm trying to understand @1onp's concern with working with unvaxxed since we're all going to be working together again soon. I am sincerely trying to broker an understanding. All I see is name-calling on both sides.

Your (@1gnt) concern appears to be that unvaxxed are more likely to get sick. So is the connection here that you don't want to work with the unvaxxed because they are more likely to get sick and thus hurt the team due to absence? Or more likely to get sick and thus make you sick?

Post ID: @1egf+1eMatK5n

@1yxz the only thing you're doing is circling around back to the same failed logic you attempt in every post. Nobody here is arguing that the Vaccines protect you from getting it.

Everyone here is arguing the undeniable statistics that (for instance, in my city the data shows) in the past year, unvaccinated were 14x more likely to get sick, which meant 11x more were hospitalized and 6x more died when compared to vaccinated.

Your straw man wishes it had a brain.

1onp+1eMatK5n, you are concerned there is a viral load associated with an unvaxxed person (even though they are not sick) that can cause you, a vaccinated person, to get the virus? Am I understanding that correctly?

by

Post ID: @1yxz+1eMatK5n

My issue is the viral load from unvaccinated folks is greater plus I'd rather not have to wear a mask at work which I assume will happen if they let unvaccinated folks into the office. Feel free to do as you wish but I'd prefer your choices didn't affect me. Just sayin'

Curious why some of you appear to be anxious about going back to work if some of your teammates are unvaxxed. I'm being serious, please respond with your viewpoint (please, not name-calling).

  1. if someone is unvaxxed, is tested and is not sick, are you concerned about working with them? What is it you are worried about?
  2. are you specifically only concerned with working with the Unvaxxed? What about unvaxxed but had covid? Unvaxxed, had covid in the last 30 days? Vaxxed but not boosted? Vaxxed and boosted?

I'm trying to understand people's concerns so hopefully we can all be productive and not anxiety-ridden or holding animosity against our teammates when we are back to the office.

What is their such heavy vax advocacy and propaganda on all these layoff message boards? Was the sole purpose of this website to scare people into compliance w/ injecting the garbage?

No senior executives are vaxxed, but some pro-vax bots on boards like this sure make it seem like it.

"just a reminder, if vaccines worked, the vax na-is wouldn't care if you were vaccinated"

False. I care whether those unable to be vaccinated could be exposed, and I care whether people get breakthrough cases. I also care about viral load in the community.

All of you complaining about having to work alongside the unvaxxed... unvaxxed does not equal SICK. If someone is sick (vaxxed or not), they should stay home to avoid infecting others. If someone is not sick (vaxxed or not), then they should go to the office and work and there should not be anything for anyone to fear.

I live in a Right To Work State. Your employer can do whatever they want and you can quit at any time and they can let you go as well except if it is for one of the protected groups (diversity)

WF is too chicken to throw the gauntlet down and tell get vaccinated get in the office like Citi and OMG many other companies. It is a very good way to thin the herd and as much as everyone wants to think they are dispensable……They are not. Attrition is a great way to achieve the headcount reductions they need to

Remote work, where it makes sense, would solve a lot of these problems. It's less impactful to Wells Fargo if Joe Schmo gets COVID and sheds it at home than around the open office.

I agree with most of what 1pnr says except people will be able to sue over testing. I imagine those who are exempt will either have tests provided or have looser guidelines to avoid those lawsuits. Those who aren’t will have a pretty inconvenient time at work because they’ll have to locate these tests that are making their way into the resale market.

Ultimately all this suit means is corporations can’t lean on the government to make a mandate. At some point Wells and other banks (we already see JP Morgan) will get tired of seeing their office space go to waste and mandate the vaccine. It will be an easy way to reduce headcount without paying severance. Companies are still reeling from 2020 and 2021 so any way to cut expenses will be welcomed. We’ve seen the airlines do it, Nike and it looks like JP Morgan. You’ll have a hard time arguing against public health.

As for those id--ts and yes I mean id--ts thinking about fake cards, that’s a federal crime . You’re forging government documents and lying in your attestation which is to say you will likely get super fired for it. The vaccine cards have vile numbers on it that can be traced to where it was sent. So for example if you get a card saying you got vaccinated at wal mart but the vile number was actually at CVS, you will get caught.

A business is free to mandate vaccines if they choose. However, that will make them liable if the mandated vaccine causes injury to the employee. If the OSHA mandate was upheld, then there would be no legal liability as it was an OSHA mandate. However, now it becomes a choice of a company so they are wide open to lawsuits.

I seriously doubt WF will mandate vaccines at this point. They could do it if they allow easy exemptions, and testing as alternatives.

The cost of the tests being put on employees will also lead to lawsuits, as some groups are being discriminated against based on personal health status. We don’t force the disabled to pay for their workplace accommodations like screen readers for the blind. We don’t force obese people to exercise or change food choices. This is a legal mess. In addition, the tests are getting expensive and appear to be not too accurate. A false negative test, and the person still is infected but does not know it will happen.

Soon we will see those endless annoying class action lawsuit commercials about if you or a loved one have been injured by Pfizer vaccine, please call blah blah blah.

Best thing to do is not mandate anything. Encourage the use of common sense, maybe masks, and social distance. Improve ventilation. Work from home. Never come in to work if you have any flu like symptoms or even cold symptoms.

But ultimately we have to learn to live with this, as we do with other illnesses like flu, colds, etc.

If the courts are going to tell employers that they can't place conditions on employment, then the courts are going to be jammed with discrimination suits by unqualified job applicants who weren't hired.

Do you nutbags even think about what you're proposing?

I'm sure lawsuits will come at employers with viciousness because so many people are angry over the mandate especially those who lost their livelihood over it. They can probably sue for millions based on earnings potential.

Angry employees will want to make an example of employers who violated individual health rights.

Vaccinated can still spread COVID. They're not even protected from the new variants. It's like the vax has done nothing for them but weakened their immune system against other infections. The world is still overcrowded so it's not like people are dropping de@d left and right.

But hey — I’ve got all the time in the world. Just do us all a favor and don’t ask the government to help you if you get long COVID and can’t work.

You can care about community health but this vaccine does nothing for the community because "vaccinated" people are still spreading and getting it. The shot seems to only help the individual. I have two shots plus a booster and still got COVID. My symptoms were very mild, but I could have been spreading it around. So the shot lessens the effects but doesn't prevent the spread. If someone wants to risk going to the hospital, that's their prerogative. To say the shot improves tye community is horse cr-p.
