Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Layoffs, notice and bonuses (Question)

If you are laid off in January, or put in your notice prior to 02/04 bonus payout, will you still get a bonus? Asking because I am not sure what the practice is there...

So much dis-information in this thread. I love it.

So if I gave my two weeks notice on Friday 01/21/2022 and my bonus payout is 02/02/2022 .. Would I still be eligible?

Do NOT give notice (or leave) until the money has been deposited into your account.

Based on the OP language of “ I am not sure what the practice is there...” and the fact that they focused later on the chrome link being broken (why wouldn’t you just pull up the Policy from the Library), it sounds like they aren’t an actual WF EE but just someone asking around.

handbook is broken for me in chrome, but does appear to work in IE/edge. go figure.

regardless, only covers performance issues and so forth.

The link to the 2022 handbook works fine for me.

if you are laid off bonus is paid. even if you got laid off in 2021, a prorated bonus is still paid out in Feb of the following year.

If you quit before payout - you forfeit your bonus.

And to those recommending the handbook, I wish. Link is broken to 2022 employee handbook. I also am doubtful this scenarios is covered...

If you are laid off, you are still considered a "regular" employee for 60 days because of the Federal WARN Act. So the two months should carry you through the payout date.

If you voluntarily give notice, all bets are off.

You will get it. Don’t worry.

Please read the handbook. Everything you need to know is there. I am always amazed that people come here expecting to get accurate answers. You never know who is answering, so it's best to go to the source. If all else fails, just call HR and ask.

Both cases would have the potential to be an employee on the payout date...
Policy is to pay employees (who put in two weeks' notice) for two weeks even if the company decides to immediately remove access and end work. So just don't resign more than two weeks in advance of the bonus payout.

Though I know someone who resigned early January last year because they got a job at a new company that was eager to onboard them ASAP. The company provided an additional signing bonus equal to the bonus target of the employee they were taking from Wells just to get things moving faster.

Bonuses pay out to employees on the payout date.
Neither of your cases would have you being an employee on the payout date... so no.
