Hire Date vs Continuous Service -WorkDay

So... now which one determines severance.

If they go by hire date, they are hitting everyone who is Legacy Wachovia.

They use continuous service. I know a bunch of ex-Wachovia folks who have been laid off. Why would you even think it has changed?

Why wouldn't they? Their hire date is used for all other HR related items (ex: PTO). When they laid off around 300 WIM folks not in a hub in mid-2021, their original hire date with their legacy firm was used. They were paid 2 weeks of pay for each year of service, capped at 52 weeks. Some of those folks were with firms prior to Wachovia acquiring them and their original hire dates with the pre-Wachovia firms were still used to determine their severance.
