Sure, healthcare dollars are a game and I don't like games. And yes, it would be nice to work for a company that doesn't play games. But if you work at a here and don't play the game then you don't get the healthcare dollars. So, I play the game.

Honestly, this isn't hard. Give answers (even if not real) and get your dollars.

Hmmm, maybe this is actually a secret IQ test. smh :)

: @2mys+1eAlNX3U And bud, nowhere did I say I was impressed with the 401k. I simply poked holes in your logic with it. You don’t know what you don’t know, right bud?

: @2mys+1eAlNX3U Lol I agree with everything you said in that post. I simply question why anyone would pass up easy money. You make it sound like you’re taking so much risk. Give me a break. Get as much money as you can for the work you put in

You don’t know what you don’t know, so you should probably save your comments for topics you do know something about.

If you’re impressed with Wells Fargo’s 401k match, see what other companies are doing for their employees. (Giving higher matches, giving it in cash rather than bloated company stock, matching monthly rather than yearly in order to increase compounding, offering better investment choices without gouging you in fees.)

Wells Fargo takes more money away from you every year and then gives you a small percentage back and makes it sound like they are doing you a favor.

If you were smart, you would consider that I might be right and not listen to Wells Fargo who is trying to get the maximum amount of work from you for the least amount of money. They are here to serve the shareholders, not you.

As I recall it there used to be an automatic company contribution when you selected a high-deductibe/HSA plan. With the introduction of wellness dollars they took the contribution away and made you "earn" it by participating in the programs first.

So to me it's less "the wellness dollars are a trick!" and more that the trick has already happened. Doesn't mean the other stuff isn't also going on of course, but this did not start out as some kind of trojan horse.

Lol by your logic then : @1prk+1eAlNX3U and @1tfw+1eAlNX3U the 401k match is too good to be true and smoke and mirrors. Fine, leave free money from HSA on the table. Bet you’ll be glad you did When retired and dealing with healthcare bills

Wells Fargo is always about creating the illusion of a good employer, a good corporate citizen, a safe place to bank where you won’t be exploited, a company where you can grow your career, a BOD who is watching over the leadership to protect shareholders, a diverse employer with a comprehensive benefits package.

Always assume they are smoke and mirrors, look behind the curtain and protect yourself.

It’s not common, but I have several friends who are still getting free medical insurance and healthcare from their employers. No deductibles or copays.

My philosophy, which has served me well, is to do the opposite of whatever they are incentivizing me to do. (Except for vaccinations, testing, masks- I’m glad they are taking that stand.)

Why do they want you to give to charity through WFC? Smoke and mirrors.
Why does Charlie spew about diversity, but only hire wealthy white men? Smoke and mirrors.
Why are we spending Billions on stock buybacks, but not technology? Smoke and mirrors.
Why force employees to take all the compliance classes while the execs are committing all the fraud? Smoke and mirrors.

Lol who gives honest answers. According to the survey I’m the healthiest and happiest gal around. Suggest you are too. And collect the free money. It’s not over complicated folks.

I would be all for WFC’s Rally “preventable programs” if they actually worked and if we weren’t paying for them behind the scenes. Do the research.

When we’re in the office: I think on-site gyms are beneficial and serving healthy food in cafeterias makes a difference. Standings desks are good. Breaks to go take a walk outside are great. Work/life balance is healthy.

So let’s get real. Let’s hear some feedback from employees who think their health actually got better from taking a series of 3 minute online animated classes to win coins. Who isn’t blindly pushing through them just to get your supposedly free HSA dollars?

Just make up answers. Then you get the moneys and not give up any info you don’t want to reveal.

WF operates a self funded healthcare plan and pays these organizations to run it only. WF fits the bill not Anthem etc. It's in their best interest to help you help yourselves with preventative programs.

If you consider someone suggesting you think first and be smart before “jumping in” to be negative, maybe you’re the one who needs to stay off the road. You need to be more wary of HR telling you “Go get your rally dollars” than you need to be of me. Unless you would say the same to people recommending you be wary before giving your credit card info and social security # to random callers on the phone?

HR isn’t telling you the whole truth. WFC is in it for themselves, not you. If you haven’t learned that yet - you never will. Go ahead and tell them how many drinks you drink, how many packs you smoke, and how many days you call in sick because you’re depressed. I think they are invasive questions and not any business of my employer. You do you.

Why did this thread turn negative. Are you people really that sick? Stay off the road and away from me.

It’s all a bunch of corporate bs. Executives spending multi-millions on concepts/programs that don’t really work. Same ridiculousness as all the annual compliance training, which has done nothing to prevent the fraudulent behavior through the years.

You think they’re giving you free money to take the classes? Believe me - you are paying for it in other ways through smaller raises, increased insurance premiums, higher deductibles, higher Rx prices.

You should think first before giving up your private health information. They are treating us like third graders who will do anything for free candy. They are incentivizing you to do something you probably wouldn’t do voluntarily.

Just be smarter than they are.

A lot cheaper to run a prevention problem, than pay for people’s heart surgery and diabetes. Use your brain..

NOTHING is free, especially at Wells Fargo.

I like to ask myself the following questions, when WFC is uncharacteristically “generous”.

  1. What is Wells Fargo getting out of it?
  2. How much is my personal health information and privacy worth? The health survey digs pretty deep. I would suggest you don’t necessarily have to answer some of the most invasive questions honestly.
  3. How much do you trust the outside vendors who manage the programs. FYI - HIPAA rules do not apply when wellness programs are run by outside vendors.
  4. How could the information be used against me down the road?

Like most things, there are pros and cons. Just know that it’s a complicated topic and you should do your research before jumping in.
