Noticing it flowing through a bunch of people today. Now email names do not have titles after them. Maybe just tech is affected?

Titles are being replaced with DE&I descriptors.

That is obviously an extreme example to make a point but for a laugh, lookup scharf in the GAL - there's a few of them

If you can’t tell the difference between a janitor’s and the CEOs email, you have bigger problems.
I personally would notice the title in GAL when choosing the person i’m sending an email to, especially when weighing the options of Principal Custodial Engineer vs Chief Executive Officer. But others certainly don’t take time or care.

Who cares? So if I send a confidential email to Joe Smith the janitor when I intended it to go to Joe Smith the CEO, you don't think that might be an issue?
It was stupid to put titles in email addresses anyway. Who cares.
Just keep repeating… Charlie is a new style tech savvy CEO. He knows how to scroll an excel doc to see pretty pie charts and even page through PowerPoints. And Conor is always near for help.
This was a half-baked project out of ICS ~18 months ago. You may recall they had to pause it for a few months, then restart it. There was also a way to put your own notation after your name. People with [Job title] are having the data flow directly from HR. People with (whatever you want) parentheses put in a request to override the HR system.
The title comes from PeopleSoft which is going away 1/1/22. Seems like new titles may not be in PS so just cutting the data flow was probably the best option rather than having people told they had a new title but the system still showing the old.
Will the data flow be restored once we move HR systems? Who knows - ICS does not have a good track record with making their changes stick.
I really don't care about the title. I want what department they work in....it's frustrating trying to find someone in a specific department, like Online Fraud, ACH, Wire, Exceptions. Yes, assign everyone the same d@mn title, that really helps!
Not worried, just curious. Odd that it’s only those aligned to tech (note WFIP is aligned under COO, not tech).
I noticed mine was stripped out this morning. I can hardly wait to see what my new classification will be!
I am rooting for 'Laid off'.
New job families on 12/1 so I'd imagine the old ones are stripped out and will be replaced by new ones. Hardly an issue worth worrying about.
There are literally thousands of people at WF that do nothing but change things in order to justify their continued employment. This is the kind of nonsense that they do.
HR exists as a jobs program to create work for themselves.
The whole department should be outsourced.
Can they just stop fu----g around with email addresses and job titles and get some actual work done that will help the bank be better?
I don't know who's bright idea this is, but I do know they don't have an ultra common name. But hey, we've all got plenty of time to waste on misdirected emails right? Like everything else here, upgrades aren't.
So which John smith is this then ? The officer , the director or the teller ?
