It's not over. And it's not limited to any particular organization/segment. Across the board, they are cutting.
VZW should have objected to new TMo's massive C-Band holdings from Sprint. Massive cost to Vz for not doing so! Legere was right - d-mb and d-mber. Paying the price now.
EngOps.. was informed this morning last day 12/31. 17+ years and older, so I guess I was a prime candidate.
Unfortunately no one was told anything in our engineering team , lots of people wanted to raise their hands , jump on the wagon and leave
Central and East have all been notified and the all-clear stated. if you havent heard from HR or your manager, you are still an employee more than likely.
Anyone know what organizations were affected ?
We have an All Hands meeting today, Im sure they are going to tell us the fall out but Im holding onto hope that they still pick me

Just got word. Last day at the end of Dec. Was asked to help transition my role to new India team.
One person impacted in my team in IT Wireline. The person volunteered (retirement age), no hard feelings.
Wireline is safe as usual

Just heard from a manager that tomorrow or Friday, massive layoffs are coming
VZ was paid 887 million in government contract to make sure they enforce the immune therapy that they call a vaccine mandate. $$$$$$ first people last at VZ.
So that’s what the org meeting scheduled for tomorrow is about.
Laying off during holiday season sucks but I guess they need a new budget in the new year
Riff’s ain’t bad if people volunteer/want to go, but when there is not enough of those it gets stressful. Any idea what departments? How many? The vzb takeover of vzw is bad for vzw
