Rich Baich and Steve Brown are rolling over in their graves seeing how disastrous the WF CISO position has become
@2kqa+1drc48zk I was wondering the same on Tracy. Can anyone name one tangible accomplishment that would substantiate her as one of the most powerful women in banking?
What has Tracy Kerrins done to deserve all her token nominations. She stumbled into the largest job she has ever had. … and doing the same thing as her predecessor… who was a male .
@2ybf+1drc48zk - I see some logic in what you say but not your whole thesis . The job is perhaps the fourth most important CISO job in the financial industry. Due to sheer stupidity of the people who selected the two prior incumbents , no attention was paid to their credentials or qualifications . The immediate preceding guy had NO tech qualifications and had worked in a bank twenty years ago. The prior person was not that senior at all and worked most recently in two organizations both of which had data leakage concerns . We escaped somehow given that guy’s track record . So do I think it is going to be a difficult search? Sorta. Do I think it’s impossible . No way. She has been selected already .
CISO search will take a long time. First we need to find someone qualified, then convince them why they want to work here when all we do is make bad decisions. The second part is harder, since other highly qualified people have run screaming. You gotta wonder why! They courted one guy six months and he left after six months. It's a hard sell!
He said a couple of things that were pretty clear : 1. The next CISO is external. Otherwise why take so long to announce
- He was pretty clear about the timing . If they have not zeroed in on someone already (interview process continuing regardless) , why even give a timeline ?
At this level the garden leave is 3 months at least . So the woman has been identified . Just a matter of formalities to be completed .
That’s weird because here on thelayoff.com, where news is always 100% accurate, a poster said the appointment was finalized and an announcement would be coming very soon. So who you going to believe???
Btw, did you guys hear him say the CISO search can go on for another 5-6 months ! That is just plain crazy.
Vocal minority. The world shall leave you behind
I used to be one of those employees that would just stick it out and wait.
Now I'm just looking for the right time and opportunity to leave this place. I really hope it shows up two weeks before one of the weekends where I'm the only one holding it down for my team.
Saul is right. Attrition is very low here.
Working here for most folks is like riding the gravy train. Benefits are great, working conditions are not unusually stressful, pay is great, and so on. Most WF employees will never quit unless they are forced to do so.
Folks have it so good that they'll put up with Charlie's c_rap until thy kingdom come.
Most of you know that I speak the truth, deep down.
The thieving thieves at the helms have all gone and WF is poised to be even greater in the next year or two.
Give Saul a break for once.
Saul is turning the ship around (towards India).

"Reimagine" what a crock, sounds like some Prog SB on Capitol Hill
Saul is fine. I don’t mind him at all. I don’t waste my time and energy look at everything under the microscope and find little things to complain.
Those glasses…..
Is this true that our attrition is that low in WF?
i like making fun of him but i actually do think he does a good job
I can't stand watching them so stopped... but tell me, has he mentioned his rolex yet?
Most awkward "Woo Woo"s from Saul to start the call. It felt like he was reading cue cards...
