Two people I know in different LOBs in the same building (not tech) we’re displaced 10/20. Makes me nervous.

Yes, layoffs are happening, this year. Can't comment on how "massive". I was displaced 10/20, and I know of others who were displaced, 10 altogether.

I have heard nothing about layoffs. I think that they will not do any more layoffs until we are all back in the office. Too risky because they don't know who will return and who will not. How can you layoff in massive numbers when you don't know your crew. I think the next layoff will be a big one.

Yea I don't know they would wait to NOV if they can do it in OCT and get you off the books by year end. That way, Charlie can look even BETTER AND get an even bigger bonus! Go Charlie!

11/18 would work. Add 60 days and you're past year end so you get the company match on your 401K and you're bonus eligible. Sounds like a win-win as far as rumors go.

I'm on the Tech side. Most of the Management in my Org have been at an offsite in prep for year end reviews and yes.... "rumor", the date I keep hearing is November 18 for a large layoff. Could be totally wrong, I certainly hope its not the case. I regret making the decision to stay in 2019 thinking things would get better, I was wrong and should have been interviewing. The experience of waiting to be shot is tough. At this point I'll try to hold on for something of a bonus in Feb. We'll see. Hang in there all.

A few more re-orgs this week and we should be green for Layoffs next week.

@vxx what's wrong with wishing for those who have more than enough to help lift the rest of society rather than buy another vacation mansion or a upgrade to a 20 foot longer yacht?

What’s wrong with wishing for layoffs?

That’s one way struggling, bloated businesses can survive in the long run

You can tell American society has hit rock bottom when there are actually people hoping to see layoffs.

Disgusting.

@vor stop acting like it was crystal clear, confirmed insider information. The people who actually provided info obviously got let go a while ago.

Coming here to complain about it is just as bad as posting misinformation. Stop whining and grow up.

We're probably not seeing any big individual single day for layoffs for a while. It would be easier just to have a continuous trickle. Harder to rumor on and easier to manage the numbers.

Unfortunately, there is probably a better chance of going directly to HR and asking versus coming to this place anymore. A few asshats who live in their grandma’s basement have pretty much ruined this place.

Based on the past, I foresee roughly 500 people being let go.
