Who wants to bet there'll be no major cuts this coming week?

This post didn't age well. Lots of displacements today.
Sure don’t know what’s going on but Charlie doesn’t seem to be focused on layoffs. Certainly not holding up his reputation… maybe he has enough money asps is reflecting on Karma or something?
The VIP’s in ‘Squid Game’ reminded me of Wells Fargo executives - thought the CEO might have been in one of those masks lol
lol, no way in heck could our Displacement Team successfully layoff that many people. They can't term 1% without it turning into a cluster.

You know it’s a process with business justification and tickets getting opened etc. right? It doesn’t just happen one day because someone thinks it’s your turn over the barrel.
I said people come to this site and lie and that received down voted. You people are sick. The throwing out of dates are lies to scare you.

100% correct. My manager who left a while back for another position had me on the list and gave me the date - I was sitting next to him as he did the paperwork (around two months beforehand). Somebody apparently decided to take everyone who had 'engineer' in their title off so I lost out for now. Can't win for losing some days.
I would be surprised if there were not layoffs this week.
@rkp That's WFC's current management in a nutshell.
"Oh, the serfs have figured out we only do executions on the last Thursday of the month?"
"Yes, sire. It's the only way to get them all done without hiring more executioners. But all the available executioners want too much ale. They're very expensive."
"This is no good. How will the peasants be extra fearful with this knowledge? Randomize the executions, hold them more often and don't tell anyone about it."
"Yes, sire."
"Remember, oh humble servant, that a wise man once said, 'real power is fear.' and we need to maintain power."
@akd+1dg59Q2W Some times the immediate manager doesn't know until a couple of weeks before. All that means is someone they report to in chain of command was the person who wrote the document that had to get approved in order to displace and/or reorganize.
The dates are known in advance, because it literally takes MONTHS to get thru the process of documenting approvals. The dates are on a need to know basis. So yes, there are dates, and they are known months in advance because displacement operations has to schedule them. for a while it was the fourth thursday of the month. I think people got wise to that pattern so now it's getting mixed up ... but make no mistake, this will be continuous for the next couple of years, at least
@ftq+1dg59Q2W yes, most do know well in advance.
@akd+1dg59Q2W, depends on the LOB. Managers usually know way ahead of a few days who is going. I think they may know at least a month ahead.
5% of US based resources to be cut Tuesday through Friday next week.
there are people who come to this site and lie. It is the same few people all the times. the people getting eliminated are those on CA's, poor reviews, etc. Everything else is FAKE NEWS. Nobody on here knows when a layoff is coming. The manager does not find out until a few days before the layoff. Do not let these trolls ruin your holiday.
The entire bank is going through layoffs. Depending on which LOB you work in, you will see layoffs at different points in the year.
I'd take that bet in a heartbeat since we already know of two LOBs with widespread cuts this week
Other than the usual 'one here, two there' cuts that are ongoing, of course.
