Adjust base salary, and get rid of bonuses.
All bonuses do is stress people out all year, and worse, cloud judgments.
Most, if not all, of Wells' problems stem from the fact that no one's bonus is dependent on fixing the problems.
Bonuses create tunnel vision. If a problem isn't specifically tied to your bonus, then you don't care about fixing it.
Hence, why this place still operates like it's still decades ago.
If you love chasing bonuses all year like a caged rodent, you can work at a different bank, at least until they all revamp their comp structure too.
