Yeah, the post by @3nkx+1dI1IlGk almost fooled me --- then I read the "made possible by our India relationship finally stepping up and carrying its weight" line and I'm still laughing. So either a troll post, or completely delusional leadership at work here.

Blood bath coming to use your terms. To use the terms from the leadership calls, We are preparing to trim our staffing to an extend never previously realized in the corporation. This was made possible by our India relationship finally stepping up and carrying its weight.

Technology, Commercial Banking and Mortgage will be hit the hardest beginning 11/17. One more wave following 11/17 before end of year. Tech is required to reduce by 1/3rd before year end (inclusive of the previous cuts). The bodies associated with the cuts have been known for months.....if your boss is being unusually professional and courteous with you....guess what, he probably knows something you don't about your future.

Wells Fargo's efficiency ratio is now better than Citi and BOA, but still trails Chase, PNC and US Bank.

Wells Fargo is currently at 65.3% down from 77.7%.

55% is the intermediate target, with further improvement planned over the next 8-10 years with reducing office and data center footprint.

That asset cap is still an issue since assets can't grow, so further cuts are needed to achieve 55%.

It'll be lite. They are banking on the bend-over we are all going to get come bonus time a mass exodus will take place.

Light. HR is working on getting ready to implement the new system, Workday, in January. So lots of HR work is limited now and will be frozen next month. Enjoy the holidays!

Not sure, but we are still far from hitting the low 200k count. That mantra is: we are spending more money per dollar earned compared to other big banks so we need to meet or exceed that efficiency. You can count on more trimming until that goal is hit.

Who cares at this point. Can’t control it and it most likely will be the best thing to happen.
