Most of the articles aren't clear or only mention private businesses which would be the attempt to use OSHA(?) to enforce it on everyone. Since VZ is a federal contractor if that part hasn't been halted we still have to do that as a federal contractor.

What Verizon is doing with the 60 days of unpaid leave is called constructive termination under the law. It is illegal and discriminatory. Get a lawyer and sue if it gets to this point.

The truth is I have seen nothing to change my mind. In fact, all I have seen reinforces the potential dangers with the vaccine.

Furthermore, I spoke with a friend of the family that is actually a lawyer. Business law to be exact.
They advised that most likely ALL further mandate action will be completely halted until a final decision is made.
Individual companies MAY move forward with them. However, they would be accepting financial liability for any unforseen undesirable effects from the vaccine.
He thought a company with substantial debt, like Verizon, would simply abandon the mandate based on the possible liability

They also noted that Abbott and DiSantis both have a lot of experience opposing biden. Though, not always successful, they do know the strength and weaknesses of bidens team. He thinks there is a strong possibility this will hamstring, or completely eliminate all the mandates. It's very possible that this will get hung up in the courts until everybody forgets about it, or there is no longer any support for it.

There are Federal contractors connected to every state. Theoretically, any circuit court can issue an injunction and temporary halt even that executive order or mandate on Federal employees, which would then make Verizon’s internal mandate pointless.

I'm not a lawyer, but I'd see what happens. If any company moves forward with the mandates, that company now accepts responsibility for any negative reactions from the vaccine. Abbott has a pretty good record when it comes to opposing Brandon, but you know the attornies serving Racing Stripes are gonna be looking for any loophole they can.

That's not correct at all. Unemployment is done by state, and each state has its own rules. Florida is working on unemployment covering job loss if you're forced to take the vaccine.
