Biden vaccine mandate issued for private employers: Jan. 4 deadline for workers to get shots

The Biden administration published a rule Thursday that requires workers at large companies and institutions to get fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by Jan. 4 or face weekly testing.

Persons who refuse to get vaccinated would also have to wear masks while on the job under the long-awaited regulation from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration that applies to 84 million workers.

Employers must start providing paid time off to employees who want to get vaccinated and recover from any side effects by Dec. 5. Unvaccinated workers should also start wearing masks by that date, the rule says.

Please, proceed with the mask/vaccine mandate lawsuits. The next pandemic could be Ebola or deadlier strains of COVID, Ebola, MERS, SARS, or the flu, and the federal government will be powerless to do very much.

"Bidets [sic] approval down to 38%, VP at 28%. Not sure who these 38% are, but whew, that's some serious party allegiance."

Swap "Biden" for "Trump" and you'll have the liberals' exact thought bubbles during the prior four years.

38% sounds close to the high water mark of the former guy so the numbers aren't that bad. I'd have to think if the mandates impact 83 million workers and 60 million of them just go "what the he-l" and get the vax, you're still better off than you would be had you'd done nothing. When the carrot stops working, time to use the stick.

Bidets approval down to 38%, VP at 28%. Not sure who these 38% are, but whew, that's some serious party allegiance. In any event, looks like the mandate is about as popular as an STD. I doubt he grasps that reality, but all other elected officials that want to remain elected officials should get the hint.

Nice try, but you're not telling the whole story. Federal vax mandates are NOT settled law. It's not in the Constitution, therefore 10A applies. All the vax mandates you can point to are state directed, and they don't apply to the population at large, just people going to schools etc. If this wasn't the case, BP would be shooting up every illegal they catch.

Meanwhile, you're cure is ki----g more than it's saving...but they aren't dying of COVID, so let's high five over that right? The only person here that needs to "grow up" is you. A grown up would realize when they've been duped and admit they were wrong.

https://www.unz.com/mwhitney/excess-deaths-point-to-depopulation-agenda/

And yes, I know that you'll dismiss any evidence to the contrary. You're to far gone and will boost to death regardless of the data. Not everyone is so... dedicated, however. All cause mortality is getting worse by the week, and it's no coincidence.

@2rqv+1dEoksoW along with what you are saying regarding big pharma and payouts to pols as one hand washes the other, is that the leftists (Dems) in DC want control over the people like they have it in communist countries. Those Bidense admin people claim they are out for the little guy, but it is to take away freedoms of the little guy.

Fact: it is against the constitution and the intent of the governing rules of OSHA. It will be struck down nearly immediately. I know that O’Biden and his ilk are lawless but this is an open and shut loss for them in court.

The proposed rule was just published the other day, lawyers etc. have to go through it to see how the company can respond to the unconstitutional mandate, then execs will choose a course of action. Hopefully they choose wisely.

Congress exempt. Now that's "leadership". Dr-g dealer, homeless guy, illegal, welfare guy, no mandates for them either. And of course, as usual, the rich and powerful can do whatever they want as well. The only people NOT exempt are the hard working pleebs.

And I have news for all you folks that are "fully vaccinated" already and think they are home free...you won't be for long. The gov will declare that you must get boosters to maintain that designation and keep your job. First it will be annual, then every 6 months, then quarterly. It's a matter if time, and you'll never be free to stop until you retire or it ki--s you. Have a bad reaction or side effects the first go around? They don't care. Have natural immunity? They don't care. Have a moral objection? They don't care. 100% remote and never see a coworker? They don't care. New research proving that it's all really a bad idea? The don't care. All that matters is needles in arms and the billions of dollars it means for big pharma, and the 'campaign contributions' they are handing the pols to buy immunity deals and mandates.

Safe dr-gs/pharma companies don't need total liability immunity deals.

Vaccine or weekly testing is required, but those entering our country illegally are exempt. Great approach - good risk management. I think I will get vaccinated again so that I qualify for bonus pay.
