How is Workday Going to Improve the Employee Experience

Is anyone else wondering how Workday will improve the employee experience?

https://www.workday.com/

“ With one source for financial, people, and operational data, everyone can access real-time insights to make sound decisions.”

“ The only system for finance, HR, and planning—all in one”

Any thoughts on how it will improve the employee experience?

The tools are not usually an issue it's what WF does to them. These apps are fully configurable based on business requirements. This company has destroyed every off the shelf tool with poorly designed configuration. I have no reason to believe Workday will be any better than how we overconplicated PeopleSoft.

What I do know is that all of the downstream chaos this switch will create could be epic. The only thing this place does better than overcomplicate things is not document them or design governance models to maintain order throughout the ecosystems these apps create over time.

Have we ever rolled out any new HR tool smoothly?

Why even ask…

More consistency in our HR systems and a one-stop-shop rather than going to Time Tracker, Develop You, job site, etc. separately.

I use it in now with my current employer... Its Ok, better than ADP, I did like the homegrown feel of the WF platform, never had any issues. the workday platform handles all HR functions, time keeping and performance evals.

Its a good system but I am sure WF will.find a way to agile it into uselessness, just like they did with Teams

As an IT contractor, I've seen workday used at the large companies I've contracted at.

January is gonna suck for a lot of folks. It's a hard cut over, and it seems that not everything downstream has been identified.
