Corporate America, especially the retail industries, are paying for holding down wages all these years now, crying they can’t find workers. People have discovered it’s not worth trying to find child care and take care of their family needs for what they are netting in the end. They are finding ways to cut back and not get the latest gadgets like the latest iPhone for example.

Covid laid bare the fact that the modern world is ready, and able, to get rid of the office.
It also showed that people aren't paid nearly enough to be secure in this country. Good luck putting that genie back in the bottle. Corporate serfdom is not going to last.
Poor Charlie is right. He wish he faced the same challenge of losing talents. It’s Wells people. Get a grip! Ain’t no great talents to lose!

I'm grateful that the CEO doesn't occupy my thoughts the way it does for many people who comment on this page.
CEOs need to join the rest of us and wake up to the new reality that remote work is here to stay. Companies that are offering that as an option and embracing the benefits to employees are hiring people. Those who aren’t are losing their best talent and will continue to struggle.
Is Chuckie willing to acknowledge that fact and say he was wrong? Not a chance in he-l!!
