Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Hybrid

Thank god the bank finally did the right thing and pushed RTO, regardless of their reasons behind it. However, when are they going to provide more clarity around remote/hybrid work options moving forward? Feels like management is dodging this question at every turn. I’m thankful that I don’t have to worry about RTO for the next few months but I have no intention of RTO 4/5 days a week….EVER. If this isn’t going to be an option I would like to know now so I can begin my job search. I know many others who feel the same.

There are "exceptions" where a person isn't within 49 Mike's from an administrative office then they'll be approved for remote work for now. They'll later decide what to do with those people.

What about CIB Operations? I haven’t seen any communication as to whether or not they will be hybrid moving forward. Seems like previous communications have left it open as a possibility but nothing set in stone.

He only spouts diversity and inclusion due to email snafu last year which resulted in all of us now being required an extra develop you course. He was hired to do a specific job and take the hits from previous leadership. He's just as if not more so, ignorant as to how to lead along with all the toadies he's brought in. It's a mess. One we all deal with or leave. Check out other banks on here, it's bs everywhere; however, the previous beautiful Wachovia/First Union/WF culture and flexibility is dying as more of our best retire, get laid off, or move on. Sadly, this is our new normal. We can't compete when leadership is steering blindly and stupidly forward.

Start looking! Charlie has a well established bias against it - and he's hoping those of us who have been full time telecommute for many years to get pi---d and quit. Not quite sure how they get to force those of us that applied for a telecommute position into offices inconveniently located miles away through city traffic but hey.. there's never been a question about who had the power.
Interesting that an a--hat that spouts diversity and inclusion is so eager to force us all into his box - but seriously - who ever believed he was anything he said anyway?
Here's hoping karma gives him what he needs.

Heads up OP, here's your unofficial notification, sadly. You're probably one of the ones we don't need to lose.

Good luck recruiting if they don’t offer hybrid or remote options. You can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube. People are demanding more flexibility and will from now on. Wells can either adapt or die.

It is 2 or 3 days a week under the hybrid model.

Still somewhat sucks for those of us who were hired on remote. I have to now pay taxes that I didn't before and it reflects on my Friday paycheck even though I am still remote.

I think it's a matter of space. If they have enough space for you to be there 3-4 times a week, that would be the requirement. If they only have enough space for you to be there twice a week then that will be the requirement.

I don't care what their reply will be or is. I already began my job hunt after Aunt Lizzie , days ago, cranked up her crusade against Wells.
