Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

what's the penalty

lots of people on here talking about not wearing masks and while the company has indicated they're required, have they outlined the penalties for non compliance?

Anyone who actually works here knows exactly how this behavior is supposed to be reported. If not, you somehow manage to fail the easy annual CBT's that we all have to take explaining how to report the Qarens that refuse to wear masks.

And yes, seriously... If you wear Khaki anything, you're not an individual who relishes their freedom.

If they require me to show up in an office I'm wearing shorts and a metal band T-shirt that says "Putting the fun in funeral".

Day 2 will be a metal band shirt that says people are "food for the worms".

If they want me to dress like a corporate drone they need to fund my wardrobe replacement.

"pleated khakis"

Ugh. Crocs, too, I'm sure.

If you're not wearing a mask, yet wearing pleated khakis at the office, then I can not take your arguments about others "conforming" seriously.

lol, it would take months to fire someone for this. HR are the ultimate foot draggers. Someone could probably drag it out until the requirement goes away.

It's like any other employment requirement, you don't comply, you don't have a job. Potentially there's a 'three strikes' policy or something but it's no different than any other term of employment.

You participation trophy parents and kids are under some.mass delusion that you set the rules for the company that pays you. Don't like it? Go work somewhere else that has terms to your liking. But for f^%k sake shut the he-l up already and GO.

The current guidance in teamworks (updated 9/24) indicates that if you see someone not following mask guidance to consider speaking with them about it in a respectful way "without inviting conflict or judgment". You can escalate to your manager or a local leader who can escalate to the manager of the employee who wasn't wearing a mask.

I'm a little skeptical that those employee conversations would go well. A roaming monitor may be better, like someone else mentioned.

Or, you know, we could just stay remote and avoid the whole thing. I personally don't mind coming into the office (it's quieter than at home with 3 small children) but I know some employees that were always remote before covid and are now being forced to come back in, which makes no sense. And for my role, when in the office, there's not collaboration between employees on my team. The rest of my team is in a different location.

They'd better have monitors patrolling the floors (and hiring a bouncer would be a good idea), because asking employees to police each other is just asking for trouble.

I won't confront anyone if I feel my safety is at risk, but I will pack up and go home to work for the rest of the day. And explain to my manager why I left.

Termination for not following mandated workplace conduct. It’s called insubordination. You get three warnings then you’re out. That’s one way to jettison problematic employees without risking lawsuits or paying severance and unemployment.🤷🏻

If you don’t wear a mask you have to work there until you retire. Worst punishment ever.

any mask mandate by the company will be pointless without some type of enforcement.

OP here. I have no problem wearing my mask and figure if my kids can wear one 8 hours a day without complaining why can't I. just curious what they will do to the people that refuse especially when in many cases it will be hearsay.
