The tech problems finally get sorted out for KL's last AMA meeting but then POOF --- one week later, he is off into the sunset.

Not talking about KL. Check out the Board at MS. Focus on the Compensation Committee (LOL, but seriously) and also the Governance Committee.

Speculation but judging from KL's comments from team meeting -- he did not parrot any of the nonsense about "in person innovation" --- sounded pretty skeptical about the whole RTO and magical thinking behind this.
To his defense, the guy who ran the amas left the company so kurt had to rely on third string.
Non issue.
I mean, he had to make things right before leaving right? Top priority: FIX YOUR DAMN AMAs BRO
@1cmv but we have very capable leadership and they brought along their very capable teams to support them.

We didn't get an A, B, C, or even D squad. We got the crew who only got ahead by connections. Nobody has a clue what to actually do other than spout out new policies and buzzwords while replacing obviously outdated tech with modern tech that's purely designed to take over as many jobs as possible while logging everything for management efficiency metrics.
It's essentially a PE takeover.
WTF? How in the heck do we hire somebody as CISO and not know what boards or other things they're involved in? For that matter, why the heck wouldn't the guy disclose that and resign from any board positions/etc. where there might be a conflict. Clearly don't know the details, but could it be an over reaction?
It's absurd how we have to go through all this compliance training and get things like code of conduct, etc. pounded into our heads every year and Execs can't even get their sh*t straight.
Asking for a friend…. Would being on the Board of a tech vendor that we do business with be considered a conflict of interest?

Who is in charge of IT vendors - Saul?
He did not leave on his own terms. Conflict of interest with a third party vendor. Shown door swiftly.
@1d2, yeah its almost as high as the body count from a biden pullout strategy
That article: "The past couple of years have been tumultuous ones for Wells Fargo employees."
No sh-t.

Is he gone because he showed SVB up on fixing the tech problems in AMA
Saul turns over staff like the Trump white house did.
It would be interesting to hear WTF happened there. Typically somebody disappearing like that so soon after joining is -- he got Saul P.O'd about something, he did something nefarious, he got a dose of reality of how hard it's going to be to really address what's needed.
Breaking news!!!
no good deed goes unpunished
