Obviously I have already submitted and paid my taxes for 2020 six months ago. WFC says the Corrections are marked CORR “for my convenience”. How wonderful of them! Nothing convenient about it. Wondering how many customers will be further aggravated by this?
I have NO IDEA how we stay in business.
(FYI - the investment was not some oddball foreign stock that would report earnings late. It’s your standard everyday US Dividend Mutual Fund.)
It is disappointing that WFA seems to have the worst back office of any dept. I’ve had 3 serious issues in my personal accounts that had to be escalated in the past 1-2 years. They need to hire some quality talent, perhaps regardless of location.
Well, they did lay off the entire back office staff for WFA that didn't work at a hub (somewhere around 300 people), so it probably was on one of their "to do" lists that stopped when they were severed.
It's happened to me 1 or 2 times before. Didn't affect my pocketbook at all.
Im not surprised at all. I bet they found errors in March and it has taken them this long to remediate the situation. They argued about whether you needed a letter to accompany the corrected form then after fixing them, were told to draft a letter which they had to write from scratch causing another 3 months of arguments about the salutation of the letter, etc. They also debated about whether they should call you “Mr.” or is that not woke enough because you could be a them/they/their. Everyone’s lost their mind and fixing anything here is like an act of congress.
