Our Workplace tool for RTO

Has this been updated with what they’re communicating Monday on RTO locations?

Y'all act like you had legit employment contracts with binding conditions. Your terms of employment are always subject to change. WF is free to change it up, just like you're free to walk away without conditions (ie non-compete).

250 people from my EF moved from one office to another 16 miles away

Mine says remote. I’ve been full time remote for 3 years, but I was led to believe that I would be going to a non-hub site about 20 miles away. So I’m kinda wondering if I’m showing remote because I’m on the hatchet list for an upcoming layoff wave.

Was F/T WFH for 7 years before Covid. The nearest hub is over 100 miles away.

Haven't heard a thing about the end of my telecommuting, which is odd since they were waving that flag like it was going out of style before the pandemic.

@cbx…..not good. I will tell you this happened to my group years ago and all the ppl that had to go into an office were hating on the 100% wfh ppl. We all were hired 100% remote. Some even lived 40 miles out per google maps and the mapquest showed 39.?? for some people and they were forced to report to that hub. There was attrition/brain drain. Then again, those working from home sometimes lost out on promotions, etc. Im sure they didnt care. It was worth it

@dad my location shows as remote and I was hired as remote years ago. So at least for now it appears some of us will continue wfh.

@dad+1d1V0NJC

Considering I was hired to WF as a WFH position, this is a material change in my job.

So if they follow their own rules, they should be offering me the option to take severance.

Where is it?

Love the id--ts who still think they'll be WFH just because they have been up until now and are too lazy to attend the CoP calls or review the RTO FAQs. RUDE AWAKENING.

It's worth RTO just to see their stunned faces on Day One.

: @ymt+1d1V0NJC Rather than bumping into folks at the water cooler, it will be in to and out of the can

FDK, Md does not seem to have been reconfigured for neighborhood seating, If 'Assigned' in seating indicates the that.

My assigned floor plan doesn't show any water coolers.

How are we supposed to develop new ideas without water coolers?

Anyone know if we are showing a certain location now, is that final or subject to be updated later this week?

In other words- if I haven’t been assigned yet would the status show as “unassigned” or something like that?

My team is split. Some who live in the metro area of the main LOB hub are being forced into the office. Those that don't are staying WFH.

I'm curious of how this dynamic will play out.

@gad i wish you were right but I don’t think it’s going to work like that. They are going to start running reports on badge swipes. They have told the managers that they aren’t allowed to say anything unsupportive about RTO. Even if your direct manager doesn’t explicitly care if you wfh or from the office, they are more or less being forced to enforce it. Eventually they have to turn you over to HR if you’re not coming in.

@yma Are you able to log in from home? If so, go to the return to office page on teamworks. There's a button to tell you your specifics, such as whether or not you have an assigned seat. Your MAC mail address will already be updated on tw as well.

Don't like it, then don't come in. If enough people push back they will drop it.

@npt+1d1V0NJC

That's because you, like pretty much all of us, are a number. We are stamped like cattle, herded into the field, waiting for our number to be called to be taken to thr slaughterhouse.

Why would they want to assign you a cube? Then they'd have to recognize you as a person, see your family pictures decorating that small space. At the end of the cube row, they no longer have to post your name for others to see.

Yes.

I have been WFH since I joined WF in 2009 and I have an assigned building. It will be great going into the office when the closest person on my team is over 300 miles away.

I looked on Friday and saw my assigned location...a place that I have never worked at since I've been WFH my entire time for the last five years. So I guess whatever was on our original job offer letters is no longer valid.
