Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Did Charlie Scharf **LIE** to congress????

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyxEcDvneZI&t=8170s

Rep Pressley: At BNY you pushed a restrict employees ability to telecommute.

So yes or now in the interest of time here, have you instituted similarly restrictive policies at Wells?

Schart: Congress woman first of all I do not telecommute. Thats a very important distinction we are a national company we have people all across the country including our operating committee and I am in a location in a series with our operating committee members.

Rep: Mr Scharf I just want to get back to the employees here. Have you instituted any restrictive policies at Wells?

Schart: Congresswoman - I have not instituted any restrictive policy at Wells.

Rep: ** In the midst of this global pandemic will you commit to allowing all employees who can perform their duties remotely to do so? Yes or No? **

Schart: Yes

The pandemic is far from over despite the faux narrative.

Once the Florida resident showed you could lie to or just ignore Congress, they all started doing it.

@xkh, why don’t you crawl back to your Na-i den and stay there

No, we agree that @tqz and @laf are using nebulous definitions to try and argue that working from home, in the hub city you live in, isn't working from home in the case of the CEO. But is working from home in the case of any other employee.

Which is exactly the problem every other employee has with it.

So we agree he works in a hub, and not remote? Got it.

How is going into a hub (NYC), considered working remotely? In that case we are all working remotely…

While I personally think Chuckles is a liar, he did not lie in this instance. The key phrase:

"In the midst of this global pandemic"

During the pandemic, he did allow those who can perform their job remotely to do so.

The question should have been, 'will allow those who can perform their jobs remotely to continue to work remote?' Politician's and Corporate Executives are always careful how they craft their questions and their answers.

OP - You forgot the first part of Ayanna’s question… “Your contract with Wells specifically states you will not be required to relocate, allowing you to work remotely.”

Must be fu----g nice to work remote, Chuckie! Double standards don’t sit well, especially when the entitled people think they’re more entitled than the people padding their paycheck! GTFO!

Location strategy has been coming for 2 years now.

They need to sh-t or get off the p-t already WRT that. The threat being held over everyone's head failed. Deal with it and do what you said you would Charles.
