Recently we have heard the words, 'we want one add per upgrade'. Despite the impossibility of this ever even being able to happen. We have heard the top 4 and had it drilled into our heads. This has lead to Verizon pushing away current existing customers to skip onto the 'growth metric customers', adding lines and watches, boosting their growth rate and 'profit' margins. We literally get paid hardly anything on existing upgrades unless we change their plan and add some other metric they would like for us to add. They desperately need to be able to pay off their contracts for wireless network band space that they inadvertently paid for with billions of dollars of debt. They are now drowning because 5g wasn't as great as it was promised to be and are now left picking up the pieces to pay off the massive debt they are currently in. The only way to do this is to continue rolling the debt over and over with new customers and make it look like they are actually profitable and push a useless 5g. Lets not even talk about how much they overcharge on accessories, offering 'bundles', and 30 month payments to make it seem cheaper for the customer just so they can hold onto their spot for a few more years. I would love for Verizon to quickly re-evaluate their stance here as this will be a make or break for them.

I think the person below made a valid point. Customers won’t ever visibly
see a dramatic difference from 4g to 5guw like they did 3g to 4g.
Growing pains. History repeats itself. I had to shut off 4G before so my Bionic would last more than a half day. And before that (if you've been here long enough) how hard were they pushing texting plans? We even had training workshops to learn how to sell texting. Things don't explode right away. Doesn't mean it won't. 5G will have a benefit, give it time. Also history repeating itself: d-mb goals like 1 add per upgrade.
So as we all know 5G nationwide is the new name for 4G LTE. There is literally zero difference in service quality. Recently I traveled to a city that has UW available and started to live stream and test it out. I couldn’t tell the difference that it was in UW. It’s definitely worth noting that 3G - 4G was a noticeable difference over the years unlike LTE to 5GUW. BTW in my area of the country customers have been coming in left and right complaining about service issues. One of the fixes is to shut off 5G and only use LTE. Does that even make sense? What a corrupt sham this company has become. Let’s keep pushing plans that cost the customers more money but offer zero value for better service.
