Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Branch employees, please stop complaining.

As a former retail banker, you people in the branches need to stop complaining. You are short staffed because people do not want to work there. If you don’t like it, get a new job. Retail banking is seriously a dying breed and just plain awful. I was a pb2 (glorified bank teller) for 6 years and honestly just got so burnt out having disgusting trashy/smelly human beings yelling at me about d-mb sh-t and why they couldn’t manage the $17.26 in their checking account. I was scared when I quit because of the PTO but now do mortgage operations remotely and my quality of life is a million times better. Not tied to a building, no suit, not client facing. He-l, I worked from the beach a couple of weeks ago…

OP if you're not realizing that banks are purposely understaffing branches then you're an id**t. It's clear you know little to nothing about banking operations in general. To claim you are working in mortgage operations is laughable if you're still at WF. Only because I have friends in that area, which isn't a big area. So....

Your improved quality of life apparently doesn’t include anything better to do but make rude posts on a website that shouldn’t concern you. Rock on.

OP - I’d bet a year’s salary your former colleagues went out drinking after work to celebrate your last day - and you weren’t invited.

Guy literally sitting on the beach telling the people that have been in-office for the last 18 months with the same cr---y pay and cr---y job to quit complaining. You're a real piece of work OP.

OP in mtg operations - I would be careful there pal. Lots of demand right now but you might be on the chopping block when rates rise and demand slows down.

With the very few employees that are left in the branches, there is PLENTY to complain about. They are ki----g the very few people they have left. Its very sad. NO ONE cares anymore. We are very overworked and exhausted. I work at a busy branch and it is constant chaos. Customers absolutely notice how bad it is but they don't recognize that its not our fault. Mr. customer, don't you think I would hire more help if I could??? I'm very confused about what is really going on here. Its definitely falling apart before our very eyes.
